You may be a woman internally, but the term "real" is used to describe the gender we were brought to this earth with. I do want to say that I agree. There is something special about being trans* and surely nothing wrong with being trans*. I'm perfectly happy being a transgendered woman - it's just another way of being a "real woman".

But Ila, in the context I used the comparison, it's apples to apples.

A person is born to their race = A person born to their gender.
