I don't know what kind of "shelf life" unrefrigerated semen has but ask yourself if you would drink milk or eat mayonnaise that had been left out that long.

There was a guy in my dorm at Purdue who was studying "animal husbandry." He used to tell us about how they "cryogenically" stored bull semen. Sperm banks would likely use the same technology. I suppose you could always search the web for more information.
