Hold up wait a minute Mr. Postman ..... i noticed you forgot the original Day of the Dead. Forget the Day of the Dead remake , i had hoped it would follow in the footsteps of the Dawn remake .... but nope. It even had Ving Rhames as an Army Officer ... i'd hoped he would've played the twin brother of his " Dawn " character.

I think "I am legend" is also a good movie about "zombies". Not the classical kind of zombies, human-made zombies.

They were vampires in the original story.

The Walking Dead is a literary masterpiece. I own the entire collection so far, and it is one of my favourite titles to read. Some of the twists are so strong, it feels like a punch to the gut.

Has anyone read Marvel Zombies? The first series was the best of the bunch, but the lastest series was pretty kick-ass too. Seeing a zombie Peter Parker lamenting how he had eaten Aunt May and Mary Jane, but that they were also quite tasty is quite interesting!

There was also a Ash vs Marvel Zombies(I picked it up in Trade Paperback). Highly recommended to any fans of Evil Dead and/or Bruce Campbell. It reads exactly like the movies did. Freaking awesome!!

Cool

They were supposed to make The Walking Dead into a movie , and i had hoped for a Marvel Zombies animated dvd ..... but now that Disney owns Marvel that seems unlikely. But now we get Marvel Super Squad a game w/ super deformed Marvel heroes in the magical kingdom!! OH JOY!!! :D

But yeah Marvel Zombies was cool. Maybe they will do movies based on Dead Rising and Left 4 Dead.

Yeah, but Disney sees in dollar signs, so a Marvel Zombies movie(animated of course, as the special effects would bankrupt the studio(s). could be feasible somewhere down the road. Heck, did you actually think that Marvel themselves would create zombie versions of their characters who were significantly less-than-heroic? I never did.

They have the entire collection at B&N for $50. I'm gonna get it for my buddy this Christmas since he is a fellow zombieholic.

Default Can't be a collection without the GAMES! :)

I forgot to include the games in my list of zombie memorabilia.

My faves:

Resident Evil(has horrible voice acting but it spawned the series. Who wants a Jill sandwich?)
RE2: City of the Dead
RE3: Nemesis
RE: Code Veronica
RE: Dead Aim(A RE FPS)
RE: Outbreak Files #1 and #2
RE: 4(semi FPS with a new enemy, a parasite known as Las Plagas)
RE: 5
RE: Zero(enemy is leeches with the Progenitor Virus, predecessor to the T-Virus)
Land of the Dead:The Search For Fiddlers Green(kinda lackluster compared to the other big names but very well written and involved if a bit linear)

I haven't played Left for Dead, Dead Rising or Stubbs The Zombie so I can't rate them.

I also forgot to include the Resident Evil titles by S.D. Perry in my list of books. I own them all and they are very well written if you can overlook some of the discrepancies between the books and the games. I am waiting for her to write the RE:4 and RE:5 versions!

Cool

I love the RE games , They also did " The Umbrella Chronicles " and it's sequel on the Wii , they are rail shooters.

Dead Rising is the closest you will get to a Dawn of the Dead game ... trapped in a mall full of Zombies is cool and lots of random objects as weapons , pt 2 coming soon.

Left 4 Dead and pt 2 are great , if the witch spots you RUN!!!!!

Stubbs the Zombie is funny and great to play , you are the zombie and attack the retro future city of Punchbowl PA. :D

The original Alone In The Dark video game had some wonderful zombie moments in it. If you can find it, and make it run on newer computers, I would highly recommend trying it out(for the PC).

There's a reason why I did not include it in my list. IMHO, Day of the Dead was the worst of the Romero films. Remember, that's just me speaking; I'm sure other people like it.

Day of the Dead was the bleekest of his films. Fact was the Zombies won and the humans just needed to accept it , and live out the rest of their days in peace. Land of the Dead showed how humanity survived by isolating themselves , but they became worse than the zombies. Day of the Dead suffered from a crappy budget and zombie films were on the way out. Again the " Day " remake sucks and i hope they make a follow-up to the Dawn of the Dead remake.

Yes! The "Day" remake sucked! Zombies that crawl like spiders? C'mon!

I also hope they follow up on the "Dawn" remake. Did they or did they not get eaten? That is the question that has plagued mankind for centuries...
