Zambia's South Luangwa National Park
An elephant was drinking from the River Luangwa when a crocodile leapt out of the water and grabbed her trunk.
The elephant was brought to her knees in a tug-of-war with the thrashing crocodile.
Once the elephant regained her footing, she dragged the crocodile out of the river before the crocodile let go.
The baby elephant then tripped over the crocodile as the elephants tried to run away.
Later in the day the elephants were seen drinking from the same river.

Well, he's rather young, so his lack of knowledge about geography might be excusable despite being an American. But give him a few years in our world-class public schools, and he won't even know that Florida is a state, let alone that Brazil is something other than a type of nut.

Ronaldinho?s ?500,000 can of Pepsi...
237811
from: uk.eurosport.yahoo.com
Anyone over the age of 30 will probably remember the famous 'Pepsi challenge' adverts, which got blindfolded punters to see if they preferred Pepsi or Coke.
One thing's for sure: Ronaldinho definitely prefers Pepsi. So much so that his fondness for the soft drink has cost the Brazilian football legend a sponsorship deal with Coca-Cola worth ?500,000 a year.
Ronaldinho stunned Coke chiefs by turning up at a press conference and sipping nonchalantly from a can of their arch-rivals' fizzy pop. Furious bosses at the Atlanta-based firm immediately demanded that the plug be pulled on his huge endorsement deal, according to a report in the 'O Estado de Sao Paulo' newspaper.
It's just the latest blow for the 32-year-old, twice a winner of the FIFA World Player of the Year award, who has struggled to shine since he left AC Milan two years ago to finish his career in his homeland.
His spell at Flamengo came to an end last month after two unhappy seasons in which he was lambasted both for poor performances on the pitch and bad behaviour off it, with reports claiming that he consistently failed to turn up to training and was more interested in throwing wild parties.
Ronaldinho recently moved to a new club, Atletico Mineiro, and Coke bosses claim that they had already been growing weary of the star's antics.
"The fact that the player has appeared with a can of Pepsi was the straw that broke the camel's back," Coca Cola marketing chief Marcelo Pontes told the paper. "The sponsorship had become embarrassing."

German weightlifter drops barbell on his head, walks away
Defending weightlifting gold medallist Matthias Steiner walked away from a terrifying incident on Tuesday when he dropped a barbell weighing 432 pounds on his neck during the Olympic 105+ kg competition.
The German was attempting to snatch 196 kg when his knees and arms buckled, causing the massive weight to fall on top of his head. Steiner collapsed under the barbell and instantaneously flopped while its mass bent his neck and head. He was immediately tended to by medical officials and somehow got to his feet, saluted the crowd and walked off under his own power. He didn't return to the competition. The Associated Press reports Steiner went to the hospital for precautionary X-rays.

From the Urban Dictionary...
"Ripped like Santa"
A person who has a stature similar to Saint Nicholas but is very strong and muscular.
Even though Saint Nicholas is a fat man in a red suit, he delivers millions of toys around the world in one night and controls 8 flying beasts. He's got to be ripped.

That was my calculator in highschool. They're quite easy to use and very accurate.
A few years ago I was working on the same project as a couple of engineering students. Naturally they used portable calculators and their phones when they had to do any mathematics. I amazed them when I could do the same calculations faster in my head than they could on their calculators. I told them about slide rules as a calculator and at first they thought I was pulling their leg. I told them to 'google' slide rule. It was quite the revelation for them after I explained how to use one.

I learned how to use a slide rule from my High School physics teacher. But I had played around a little with the ones I mentioned in my previous post as a kid. I think they were some kind of promotional item as they had “GM” and “Detroit Diesel” stamped on the case. My teacher could also beat any of us with our calculators. :respect:
My students had fun with them but quickly became bored and gave up. :(
Spent most of this afternoon learning about my new “crush.” Wow. I never expected to see anyone like that in a Sears catalog. The only thing I remember about a Sears catalog was the guy with his cock hanging out of his underwear…:lol::lol:
Apparently, Jean was very big in the 60’s. One article referred to her as the “first supermodel.” Lots of stuff on her. I think she’s absolutely totally gorgeous.
(No wonder Sears is in trouble… No catalogs like that anymore. Heard they have already filed for bankruptcy in Canada.)

It looks like I missed out on a lot in the old Sears catalogues. When I was a kid I went right to the toys (kids' toys - get your mind out of the gutter  ) and then sports equipment when I got older. When I got into my late teens and from then on I went to the tool section and later the tool catalogues. Obviously I should have been looking at the women's clothing sections.

Yes. It's hard to believe there was life without it. Smartphones too. One had to be more, umm... "creative." I used to take my mom’s Sears catalog upstairs just to look at the models. :innocent:
I still remember her. She had a very short blue nightgown on and great legs. She was standing with her head back and her hand looked like it was brushing her hair. Her legs were apart. :turnon: Afterward I was so scared that I might have come on my mom's catalog... Death would have been the result. God, I didn’t realize my memory was that good…
Jean Shrimpton’s modeling career predates me by at least several years! If I had known of her I probably would have cut those pages out and put them on the wall of my room. My biggest “crushes” in the 80’s were Christie Brinkley, Heather Thomas, Nancy Wilson, and Debbie Gibson (the 80's "Hannah Montana" LOL). I got to meet Heather at something I went to with my dad. Maybe ’87 or ’88. This was long after “Fall Guy.” She was super sweet and I was totally in awe of her. :inlove: I still have the autographed pic. I’m sure she thought a certain 7 or 8 year old was quite the precocious little shit…
The period from maybe the forties through the eighties is perhaps the “great” era of glamour. Maybe that’s why we enjoy so many of the drag queens—they bring back the femininity and sexuality of that time. :respect:

What is the saying? "It's all fun 'till someone gets hurt." I don't know for sure the status of the driver (I have heard they survived) but the second picture is all they were able to salvage of the car.
A Hellcat can put out 700 hp when you use the red key. For comparison a NASCAR Sprint Cup engine puts out about 800-900 hp. The old supercharged "Offys" of Indy fame back in the day were around 1,000 hp.
A Bugatti Chiron produces around 1,500 hp. Top speed 261 MPH (420 km/h). I once said about the Chiron "It will give you an orgasm... or kill you." :respect:
(Just heard that Floyd Mayweather has to sell his Bugatti. Maybe I can buy it from him?)

Batman was very "suggestive" for its time. Boner and I both love these shows from the 60's and 70's. Wonder Woman was another. I can't believe some of the stuff the censors allowed them to get away with back then! Sexual innuendo, bondage, torture, whippings, etc. :innocent:

Speaking of "Usenet" the following is the "oldest" file I have on my computer. It was downloaded on June 7, 1993! At the time, I was finishing 6th grade in Michigan. It has been on every computer I have ever owned since then. It has traveled with me, been to grad school, was probably at my first wedding, when I bought my first home, etc. Sad...:lol::lol:
I had "older" stuff too but it would have been on "floppies" and would be long gone or in our garage in a box. I still have a "Terminator 2" screensaver from 1991 or 1992. But I don't know if it would even run today.
Sorry I don't have any porn from back then. :( I used to have a super hi-res pic of the most incredible looking blonde wearing hot pink thong bikini bottoms. God. What an ass! :turnon: It literally would fill my 17" NEC monitor (anyone remember when that was considered awesome?)
Probably got rid of all of it when I got married several years later. The oldest file I have kept is a beautiful hi-res (non nude) wallpaper of Kimber in a bikini on the beach from maybe 2008 or 2009 right after my divorce.

"Batman" was the best because it had Catwoman. Batgirl, and Marsha Queen of Diamonds! I was too young to understand at the time but that's the first time I remember thinking I sure liked those ladies :inlove:
I really enjoy the new thread and wish more would participate as well :respect::cool:
Glad you like the thread. I was hoping for more interest. I've enjoyed your contributions. It seems we have similar interests and experiences (and are close in age I believe). I'm sure there's others. I've not posted anything more because I don't want to discourage anyone. Also this is probably the busiest time of year for me.
I will have to see if "Batman" is on cable anywhere. I have the movie on DVD. Maybe I'll watch it later. Lee Meriwether plays Catwoman in the movie. She's very beautiful (I actually like her more as "Miss Kitka") but Julie Newmar owns that role. :inlove:

Julie Newmar does own the role of Catwoman but Lee Meriwether as "Miss Kitka"? Wow! :inlove:

One of the coolest birthday gifts I received was a "fidget spinner" with my college logo on it. It sits on my desk and you would be amazed at the number of clients who play with it.
But I think this fellow might have gone maybe just a little too far...

Halloween will soon be here. I've decided that this year I want to go as "Deadpool." As for my date... I think that's pretty obvious. :inlove::inlove::inlove:

:respect:
It is about time that someone liked the glam of the eighties too. I am a little too young for the forties but I learned to play guitar in the eighties just to wear the makeup and the clothing for an excuse. I still play hair metal. Does anyone remember how pretty Vince Neil was on the jacket of Shout at the Devil? Hell the song Dude Looks Like a Lady by Aerosmith was written about Vince Neil. What about all the members of Poison when Looked What the Cat Dragged in was released on the jacket? I was in my teens and albums like that and bands like that made me want to learn and play in a band. Teased hair with too much hair spray and over the top makeup and high heels and tight pants and tops. The forties was very glam but the women were fem and the men were masculine, the eighties opened the door for a lot more. I am glad I lived those times because it was a way to express without too much BS involved. I remember buying makeup at department stores in Little Rock and getting a look and just saying I was in a band and all was good. It was the same with the hair at a salon when I wanted bottle blonde.
I am probably a little older than you because I was doing my deal in Hollywood in '87 and '88 couch surfing, starving and praying for a gig at the "Whiskey". We were a little after our time though.
But when it comes between Debbie Gibson and Tiffany I always though Tiffany was a little better looking and kind of like most girls I grew up around. Debbie Gibson seemed a little more preppie. But I really didn't listen to that kind of music though. I was still ACDC, Poison, Sabbath, Motley Crue, and others that was a little harder driving.
Just my one and half cents worth.:innocent:

Well I'm all set to go as "Deadpool" to my company's Halloween party. Just need a date...
Of course you know who my #1 choice is. Her eyes even turn green when she's about to go evil. Is that my kind of girl or what? :inlove::inlove::inlove:
(Shit, I'd go as Mickey Mouse just to get a date with Dove. :innocent:)
