Was looking on Pinterest for more cartoons to post and stumbled upon a collection of vintage comic book covers. This seemed to be the most appropriate thread for these especially since Boner and myself and a few others had been discussing the styles of the 60’s and 70’s. Personally, I love the “look” of that era and find it incredibly sexy. The colors, the “big hair,” the short dresses and boots. All of it.

Trina (That Austin Powers wannabe motherfucker actually said “groovy.” He’s like a total loser. Forget him. You need to go out with me instead. ), the girl on the couch (Likewise, dude’s a douchebag, dump his sorry ass. By the way asshole, nice socks…), and the girl at the bar (Mom, Dad, is that you? ) were most definitely my favorites.

I grew up reading comics too so seeing countless illustrations of beautiful heroines and villainesses, it follows that my sexual awakening was influenced by these over the top depictions of femininity as well. An amazon woman in spandex? Yes please!

As far as the retro look goes, it wasn't until 2003 when the t-girl bug really bit me (thank you Gia Darling!) but there were a few stray gender bending materials that caught my attention. Ru Paul's "Supermodel Video", Vanessa del Rio sporting a strap on, and Karen Dior as Peg Bundy.

I know we've wandered pretty far astray from the topic of this thread but I really enjoy this discussion and appreciate the moderators putting up with it

Well, we are discussing fashion mostly and what we find attractive in a woman. Many performers in drag DO impersonate celebrities so...

Couldn't help noticing the "Married With Shemales" video cover. This really took me back. Like just about every guy my age I had a huge crush on Christina Applegate as Kelly Bundy.

But I also found Peg super hot. I am a "mega-fan" of "Sons of Anarchy" and think Katey Sagal is not only beautiful but an amazing actress as well.

I should have said more about that video cover. Unlike most guys my age, I never found Kelly Bundy/Christina Applegate all that hot but I did have a thing Peg with her huge hair and sexy, trashy outfits. I never understood why Al never wanted to have sex with her and I'd fantasize about being the boy-next-door who'd sneak over and give her what she wanted while her husband was at work. But as hot as Katey Sagal was in that role, Karen Dior was ten times hotter! See the cover of that video was one of the first times I said to myself I didn't care if she had a dick, I was blown away by how sexy she was. It was also intriguing to think that maybe one of the reasons I thought she was so sexy was that she hada cock hiding under that super hot outfit.

The Vanessa del Rio pic also was huge for me. Even though it's not real, seeing Nasty Nessa wielding that weapon turned me on like few things ever had before. I mean, it just looked like so much fun. At the time I was afraid liking that set made me gay because I was getting turned on by a cock. I could fantize that Ru Paul and other fashionistas were genetic women but here I was getting turned on see a lady with something extra. All this was confusing at the time but terribly exciting.

Did you know RuPaul was in his 50's? I think he looks great and of course is absolutely gorgeous in drag. Christie Brinkley is in her 60's. Most of the celebrities we grew up with are now anywhere from 40 to 70. How does the saying go? "50 is the new 30"? Works for me. So, I wonder, does that mean... I'm only 16?

You're right. It is an awesome drawing, super erotic in its suggestiveness but it's the caption that makes it perfect for me. Imagine being Marshall sitting there with this exquisite lady perched seductively on your desk. So what if it's your 52 year old male boss? She's looking pretty good now, right? Damn, that's hot.
