Unfortunately, many videos are produced for a price, not to a standard.
"Sound engineering? What's that? ..... Nah, don't need it." Background music is essential to drown out noise from the highway, runway, air conditioning or cameraman hissing instructions to his performer(s). Better to have the sound of a well-chosen soundtrack accompanying a girl's performance than have it ruined by constant, loud, distracting noise. Some rhythmic/techno/trance type tracks actually enhance enjoyment of a video during the preliminaries.
