Excellent post. You are right on the mark. The price of gas will come down when the oil companies get tired of raping and gouging the consumer and are no longer interested in making obscene profits.

Correct, there is no shortage of oil or refinery capacity.
The price is manipulated by the commodity traders in collusion with the oil companies. Oh by the way our Congress gives the oil companies big tax breaks.

We could beat this game by driving less and driving slower. It has been estimated that if everyone drove 55 mph, we would not need any oil from Saudi Arabia. Do you hear anybody in government promoting this? Now it's drill baby drill which is totally ludicrous, pure political BS.
