I think Bionca put some worthwhile perspective on this, particularly because she is NOT a moderator on whom it seems it is incumbent to be the guardian of Transgender terminology.

The offence was one of insensitivity and sheer carelessness - and of ignorance which ( presumably ) has now been corrected, albeit in somewhat strong terms.

I think all members should be aware that this forum is not merely for individuals seeking a sexual turn-on, and that all the time we deal with the sensitivities of others.

When I was younger and 'mis-assembled, I liked girls. Now after some body work and a paint job I still like girls but I'm somehow supposed to be considered wired wrong. I still like girls and I like being a girl.
Some sports cars have the same motor as trucks . In the end, it's performance that counts.

However, if my memory serves me, I think you are the only redhead here on the forum so it would seem that you are one of a kind and probably hard to confuse with anyone else. I did not state that as a fact. Just my personal observation of my interactions with other members. My memory does not seem to recall any other members that have made known their yummy gingerness either through posts or avatar pics. Hence the, "I think".
