I consider myself to be exclusively heterosexual yet I find myself attracted to tgirls. Yes, at first I was somewhat confused. I wasn't sure if I was suddenly--at age 30--"turning gay."

This forum has been a great place to learn about the many issues involved. For me it has done two things: 1. Helped me to better understand and accept my own sexuality and feelings for transwomen. 2. Understand what is involved in living day-to-day as a transwoman so that should I ever meet someone, I will be able to be a good partner for her.

There are many posts where I discuss my own feelings and how I came to be here in the first place so I will not bore you anymore with that. However here is a link to one of my most recent posts:

So far, I have not become attracted to men or interested in gay porn. I have had gay and lesbian friends since college and have always been a supporter of gay rights. Also I am a little "older" than most of you and was married for 15 years. All of my sexual experiences have been with "ggirls" including those I've dated since my divorce. The idea of sex with a "man" does not turn me on--but "tgirls" are something different entirely. I see them as women. I am not sure how to explain it other than that. I don't believe it is "suppressed homosexuality" or a "fetish" either (see my other postings). The rest of the world is only now beginning to learn about "transgendered" people--I believe there is still a long way to go before there will be the same understanding and acceptance as even the gay and lesbian communities have. But it will happen.

As far as my own gender identification. I have always identified as "male." I have never desired to be a woman or crossdressed (not that I think there's anything wrong with that!). As far as transitioning and living as a transwoman, I have an incredible amount of respect for anyone who does. I have been trying to learn as much as I can so that one day, if that special someone does come into my life, I will be a worthy partner for her.
