I think it is more about the degrees of beauty rather than "this or that". Kind of like how things aren't hot or cold, but that things that are "cold" are actually just lacking heat energy; it is just varied degrees of heat. Femininity is feminine regardless of whom it is applied to. Take for instance Robert Pattinson from Twilight. He looks feminine somewhat and I'm sure that a couple hours with Jenae and Latexblaze and he will look like a pretty little bitch. Or for a more drastic example, look at Bill Kaulitz. Is his ladyness an illusion? No. He is a striking example of male femininity. The womanness of him is just a heavier degree of femininity that has been applied to someone of the male gender.

By saying that it is an illusion, it is kinda saying that the femininity is not really there, that upon closer inspection there will be no female qualities. However, femininity is present in both examples; one of those examples just has more than the other.

Our brain is primitive by nature; our inherent instinct is survival(whether it is fighting off a rabid animal, trying to keep the human species alive through procreation, sustaining ourselves with food and water or finding/making shelter to protect us from the elements). The thing that seperates us from lesser animals is our ability to override our instincts/urges with rational or logical thought. We have a governer built into our brain unlike our chimp relatives and when you see docile chimps go absolutely apeshit(no pun intended) it is because they do not have the mechanisms to control or think about their actions; they act on urge/emotion/instinct.

When we look at a beautiful woman, our first instinct is not to think about what her favorite color or other such nonsense is, it is the want/need to procreate with a female of superior breeding qualities. That is the instinct kicking in and it is what usually guides us in the general direction. Our rationality and logic is more of like a fine tuner and keeps us from clubbing her over the head and dragging her back to our cave for a night of hot nasty Cro-Magnon style sex.

When we see feminine males and transsexuals, our primitive mind is attracted to the femininity and is what makes us want to stick our dick in them. Regardless of what anyone says, homosexuality is natural and the thing that keeps us from fucking a feminine man is our ability to think and ponder our actions and the mistaken belief that has been drilled into our head that homosexuality is somehow inherently wrong.
