I'd be kinda leery about using a machine that had the word "tard" in its name. Just my 2 cents

I think the last two Doctor's have been sublime (Christopher Eccelstone and David Tennant), so Matt Smith has some big shoes to fill. I'm hoping he's going to be good for the role, although not holding my breath.
Matt Smith wasnt the person I was actually hoping for to be the next doctor, though. |

Robert Carlyle was one of the actors considered , but he is joining the new Stargate show.

So was Eddie Izzard , Jason Statham , James Nesbitt , Bill Nighy ( from underworld , not the science guy ) and the actor who played Dr. Moon in the library episode , he would have been the only black Doctor.

Patterson Joeseph would have been good for the role. I'm not the only one to have said that openly either, quite a few people have said he would have been good.
He hasnt really had any big time shows, but what he has starred in, he has been excellent. Survivors is his most recent TV series (I think), which was a great show |

Most long time DR WHO fans are never happy when a new DR takes over, No one was jumping for joy when David Tenent was announced to be the new DR but he won over most of the fans and is on most fans fav list ranking up there with Tom Baker
