I have never heard of anything good happening from craigslist personals. Whit I hear is from both men and trans*women... the general feeling is CL is full of fakes, pic collectors, hookers, scammers, and general jerks.

You should note that a coupl of (gay) guy friends of mine got robbed when they went to meet a "gay couple" they met on CL.

i can think of a few times when cl worked. i have a friend that would always write these ridiculous ads and girls would eat it up, or he would reoly to a few ads and get a response, when i did either of those i got dead air, pic collectors and other horse shit. except once, and i met a girl, we had sex(biological girl before you ask) in the nudie booth at an adult book store, talk about wierd shit. i mean it was a fun time, if only it wasnt so damn hot in that little booth, it was summer NYC, it was fucking hot

i have an ex(another Biological girl) that lives in rochester, after i found that she was cheating on me(or rather she was cheating on him with me) she confesed that she had an open and loveless relationship with this guy who was actually gay and only liked to use her to get other dudes, but she liked having him around because it was comfortable..well anyway i found she was picking up dudes on craigslist
seriously people wonder why i am jaded and angry...these are the reasons people..

but really i would avoid CL, unless you want a hooker, but then i would do www.theeroticreview.com or www.utopiaguides.com
in these cases the girls are sort of screeened by other members of the site, look at least they wont be cops and you have a heads up as to the potential theft level.

also the thieves are a problem
no CL for me is somthing sad that i do when my self esteem is at its lowest and i try to meet people that are just as lost(in many cases more) as i am

i was so busy on a tangent i forgot the main reason i wanted to post.
i got some replies back. now i have gmail, which puts your email chains in sort of a iinstant messanger sort of look. it shows you your last message and all the others in tabs, the tabs have your name on it. hers come up as "london england"
so suspecting foul play, i started asking questions, like where do you live(should be NYC since that was the personals section i was looking in) no answer to that, but i get, " i like you i would like to meet" ok, no name nothing, fine maybe her english isnt good thats fine.
i reply saying i would like to get some coffee or a few drinks, nothing crazy, we get to know each other and see where it goes
i get "ok yes...this is me" and the photo. i didnt really ask anything that required a yes or ok answer. so now i am suspicious and i come here to post the OP that we all read.

FINALY TONIGHT(its caps so you can skip to this part)
she sends me a few emails, as i wanted to see her tomorrow i thought we should talk. i get several one word emails. like "now" now what? seriously.
so i send back that i would like to talk to her, and get to know her and where is she from and what is her name. i got a name, maybelle or somthing, but she just sent back.. i asked her if she was from england, and again more about where she wants to meet and all that. i get back "there"
again i am confused, is this someone fucking with me? am i think desperate i want this NOT to be someone fucking with me? well its answer b i am just that desperate.
finally she sent an email that said "honey i am so horney tell me what you want to do with me be specific"
i replied that i wanted to meet someone, and that if i wanted to sit at home and jerk off reading what someone else was writing, i could do that in a million places that would be far more honest about thier intentions

not a peep since.
so CL, sucks ass

So I found a very nice ad on Craig's List ... problem is, she's really young. Like half my age . Do you think I should contact her or just "walk away"? Would she think I'm trying to "rob the cradle"?

Half your age? Well, assuming you're at least 36 and she's mathematically 18 (and legal), why not? You're as young as you feel, I say. Besides, the whole "age" thing just depends on the couple itself and how THEY feel about any differences between them. Hey, Michael Douglas Jr. is 25 years older than Catherine Zeta-Jones to the day (they actually share the same birthday -- there's wacky trivia for you!) and they're happily married with 3 kids.

And one of the biggest age spreads I can think of (being the geek that I am) was James Doohan (yes, Scotty on Star Trek) who met his last wife (get ready for this one) while playing as a contestant on TV's Family Feud. They were on opposing sides. But she caught his eye...they traded numbers...dated...married...had kids...and were happily married to the day he died. Age difference between them: 36 years. When they met on Family Feud, she was 18 and he was 54.
