The winds were out of the NW and the windchill made it feel like -49C. The forecast for the next week and a half is temperatures of around -33C for overnight lows and -25C for daytime highs. The winds aren't expected to drop off at all. I have to plug in my car every night so that it will start in the morning. So yeah I really feel all the pain and suffering that you are going through. We get snow about once/decade. I would love to at least experience the weather you describe.

Come on up north Tracy. I can't guarantee weather like this all winter though. It may suddenly warm up to about -10C in January or the temperature could suddenly plunge down to -40C. I can guarantee that if you go to Churchill, in the winter, you will experience -40C and a blistering windchill. Churchill is on the shore of Hudson Bay and it's always windy there. For something different try going north of the arctic circle in January to experience total darkness for the complete day. It's something I never gave much thought to until I experienced it.
