I'm a transitioning TS. I've been diagnosed as schizophrenic, social dysphoric, and gender dysphoric, but other than that I'm totally normal!

I started getting into my mom's stuff when I was 3, but she quickly started hiding it from me. I always wanted to be a girl, but in high school I tried to be normal and date girls. I still liked being with girls, and I actually totally love having sex with a girl because I think I'm really good at pushing her buttons and making her eyes roll back in her head. I can really get in tune with other people. It's a huge vicarious turn on for me. I'm bisexual and I have to say that being with a guy is surprisingly similar. When a boy closes his eyes and lets go you can tell he's in heaven and it makes me truly happy for him.

I have to self-medicate because I'm on estrogen and DHT blockers, but I don't really like spiro. Most doctors/therapists won't endorse transitioning if you're not looking for full SRS. More and more tgirls are starting to come out and say that they don't hate their penis, though, and there are a few medical professionals who think that's OK.

The 2nd way is alot cheaper and faster, but may not give you as good as results as the Estrogen tablets. Simply get your mum, sister, or any other female you know to go to a chemist and buy you Contraceptive Pills ("The Pill" if you like).

And the 3rd way is just buy estrogen online for yourself.

You have to read up because there are also a number of online pharmacy scam sites, and of course all the herbal feminization pills are bogus and possibly dangerous in the dosages they recommend.

The thing is, if you're going to self-medicate, you should still be honest with your doctor (he's not going to have you arrested or anything) and have your liver checked now and then. There are 3 ways to take estrogen:

Pills: Estrofem is simple and cheap, but taking more than 2mg/day is a big stress on your liver. You also want to be taking baby aspirin to help prevent clots.

Transdermal patches: Patches are the safest thing, but they're the most expensive. You need multiple patches to get good results, and the highest dosages are pretty big patches. Some of them are like wearing a panty liner on your hip. Vivelle is the best because their 100mcg patches are still only about 1 square inch.

Estrogen injections: These are very effective, and surprisingly cheap. A lot of tgirls use nothing but injections, but that gives you major hormone spikes/dips. If you don't want to go all PMS between injections you can also use a patch or pills to even out your levels. Of course there's the inherent scariness of sticking needles in yourself...

That's exactly why I don't want a vagina carved into me. I don't see SRS as the Holy Grail of being feminine. To the contrary, post-op tgirls have lost the most feminine thing in the world -- the ability to have a child.

If there was ever a way to be a real live futa girl I would be all over that. I doubt I am alone there. I'm sure that'd be difficult and I'd still have to be on medication -- my ovaries and balls would probably be in competition until one of them atrophied.

I think tgirls who love their boobs but have no desire to lose their cocks are often closetted because they aren't taken seriously in the transgender community. The fact that the most popular term -- shemale -- is almost purely associated with porn doesn't help matters. In trans forums, the girls often brag about having no sex drive, an atrophied penis, never getting erections, and having no ejaculate if they do orgasm. That just sounds horrifying!

It's a very conflicted feeling for a tgirl. Shemales are obviously exploited by porn, but at the same time that's the only time they're taken seriously. I'm so happy to see sites like tsseduction.com popping up where shemales are given some respect insead of just being a receptacle in every scene ... and they're even paired up with cute guys! :D
