In the “age of COVID-19” it’s getting so the “real” news stories are as bad as the “clickbait.” This was on CNN just a few minutes ago. The caption was:

“South Korean football club apologizes for filling stands with sex dolls.”

“Filling stands”? My first thought was “How did they get 100,000 dolls into a stadium?” as most college and professional sports arenas are very large.

Then looking at the pictures I realized they only filled a few seats in one section. I have played football (American) in large stadiums before. It always gets you fired up to have “fans” cheering you on.

Especially women. Going all the way back to “little league” I would always check out the stands to see if there was someone hot… It wouldn’t matter what side she was on.

I kind of like the one in the first photo on the right, closest to the camera, bow on her head.

Glad she’s wearing a mask! Don’t wanna get coronavirus from her. Wonder what she’s doing after the game?

Today’s “clickbait” ad on CNN worked. The caption was about how empty planes were still flying in the “Age of Coronavirus.” I hate flying mostly because it’s so crowded so this looks awesome to me.

So I immediately booked a flight. I didn’t care where. I thought it would be nice just to get away.

She’s saying: “Andy, did you know this flight is nonstop from Indianapolis to London? It looks like you will be our only passenger. We won’t be stopping in New York because of quarantine. It will be almost 12 hours. Don’t worry, my friend and I will make sure you have a great time!”

Pretty good article about the Concorde on CNN this morning. It’s dated 2018 but was on their front page today for some reason. Sadly, most people know of this airplane because of the crash in July 2000. That was one of the first events to go “viral” on the Internet with updated coverage, video, pictures, and posts from witnesses and others “commenting” on the tragedy.

When we lived in New York for a brief time, my dad took me to JFK to see it. Still remember it. Pretty awesome. One of the accompanying pictures showed a Concorde painted in “Pan-Am” colors. My understanding was it never was operated in the United States because of the “sonic boom” created as it flew over. So any flights within the continental US had to be “subsonic.” Take away the speed and you were looking at a very cool but expensive way to fly. So British Airways and Air France became the only two operators.

Of course this wouldn’t be an appropriate post for this thread unless it also involved women.

Was checking out the picture thinking about what life was like whenever this was. Shit, I hope that isn’t 1999… No. It looks to me like the 70’s maybe. 1975?

It’s awesome that they served “real drinks” back then. The flight attendant is bringing the woman in the middle what looks like a Bloody Mary. Unfortunately she’s not going to drink it. The guy in front just put his seat back. She’s about to say “Put your fucking seat back up jerk…” as she pours her drink on his head.

But what really got my attention was my “future wife” looking out the window.

Past wife maybe?

Yes. This was long before she met my dad. She’s thinking: “Maybe I’ll meet a nice handsome man back in Detroit and we’ll have a son who is into those things called ‘computers’ and plays sports. Christ, I just hope he doesn’t grow up to be an asshole.”

(Of course 1975 to the early 80's is a long time. From "nine months later" until January 1996 when Dove Cameron was born or January 1998 when Chanel Santini was born is the same age.)

My WebEx meeting for the "Teaching Online" seminar we are required to attend over the summer just ended. It was my turn to make a short presentation. Was going without incident until I shared my desktop...

(Thought I was going to get in big trouble with our Provost but after the meeting he asked me: "Andy. Umm... Can you send ME a copy of that picture? )

CNN had a recap of stories from the past week. Placing mannequins around in public places to enforce “social distancing” has become common practice in the “Age of Coronavirus.”

This was me, my wife, and my girlfriend having dinner last night. She’s looking at me saying “Andy. Take off your hat! And don’t jack off in here… Shit. I can’t take you anywhere!”

My wife is looking at her saying “See what I have to deal with? He’s all yours honey…”
