Actually I've been married twice, dated a lot, and my first girlfriend was a friend of mine who lived down the street. We were 12. While genetically "male" she identified as a girl and eventually transitioned. We were together through High School. I've shared a lot about myself in my WordPress profile (and posts) but I don't think anyone ever reads that stuff.

My advice is to hang in there and just be your self. I've enjoyed your posts. Hopefully you will meet someone! I've never had much luck on-line, have NEVER met anyone on here, and prefer to meet people face to face. I have met many transwomen through the various LGBT activities I'm involved in as well as the annual Day of Remembrance ceremony. Being active helps.

Now I'm really curious, I need to know who "JTS" is (I think I have an idea...)

One thing I have enjoyed about this forum is the friends I've made. There are many. That's probably why I stay. My only complaint is with some of the more disrespectful posts allowed (it used to be much worse) and the "one post wonders" who seem to be obvious "trolls."

I hope you will stay and meet someone on here. There are also many "trans" dating sites you could join. And consider becoming active in your community! You never know when or where you will meet that special someone.

In fact , my eyes and thoughts went to TG's upon discovering them on a porn site I frequent. I found this forum by happenstance. I was able to find someone to coach me, so to speak, of the TG community. But several of your posts which showed 'Drag Queens' really blew me away. While I have a new found attraction to TS', I am amazed at several 'Drag Queen' appearances to resemble beautiful women. And while I can find them attractive to even beautiful, I don't think they can ever 'compete' (nor do I believe it's their intent to do so) with a TS/TG as far as femininity and a true feminine persona. I've always liked to read other people's profiles because I'm interested in who they are, what they like to do, what they're interested in, and what they look like. I'm a pretty good judge of what is real and what is not.

Well, I think you’ll find lots of like-minded people on this forum. I enjoy it because it offers more than just porn. And I have made some real friends on TLB. It seems more like a community to share our interests which are still considered “taboo” in some parts of society. Like many on here I consider myself straight and apart from one extremely cute friend a long time ago (the “Stephanie” that I’ve written about elsewhere) I’ve almost exclusively dated ciswomen. It may be hard for others to understand but Stephanie was a girl. In ALL ways. She was born with a penis so she was labeled “male” at the hospital. She was the first person I was ever really in love with. Largely because of Stephanie, I’ve long supported LGBT rights and been active in the community. Only on two other occasions have I ever been involved with anyone who was trans besides her. I have gay friends as well but there’s never been any sexual attraction there (just that they are great guys). I’ve been married twice and both of my wives were ciswomen.

There’s a lot of research and much has been written on this topic—more than I could ever discuss here—but public awareness and acceptance of transgender people is probably greater now more than ever. To me it’s not really that hard to understand. We all basically come from the same DNA. For some of us our “brains” and sexual organs match—other’s don’t. And most of us are “somewhere in between.” Too many members of our society still don’t understand that and have a problem with it. Many of these same individuals might even accept somebody who was gay or lesbian better than they would a transwoman. One of my main “causes” is stopping the discrimination and violence directed at transgender people. I encountered this first hand when Stephanie and I were together and I’ve always gone to our local “Day of Remembrance” ceremony. I’ve even hosted a couple myself.

As far as meeting someone. Why treat someone who is trans any differently than you would anyone else? Ask yourself what you would like in a partner. Common interests? Intelligence? Sense of humor? Cute smile? Long blonde hair? Blue eyes? Great legs? Fantastic ass? (wait, that’s MY list! ). Notice I said nothing about whether or not they had a cock. As for the rest… I will just say that in everyday life you can’t really tell until you are “intimate” with her or she tells you. Unless of course you hire a TS “escort” or go to a bar that explicitly caters to an LGBT crowd. Then you might meet more openly gay people than someone who is transgender.

Ditto. Although there are larger online forums dedicated to the ladies we all love so much with more content, TLB seems more friendly. I can't say I've had much interaction with the people here other than Andy , I really value the community.
