For me - it all depends on the deliverer. If I am in the passion of things and have been warmed and stretched then let the biggest I can find to penetrate me. My third was 10 1/2" and super thick- I handled it all down my throat-it took awhile. The bottom end said it was maximum depth. Normally anything average is just fine.
