Good question and one I haven't really thought about in the eight plus years since I first joined a tgirl pay site. In that time I've joined several but my two favorites are Bob's and SMC's T-girl network- the conglomerate of sites that has Foxxy, Mia Isabella, Vaniity, ect.
If I were to say what makes some sites better than others it come down to one word, content. I prefer quality over quantity. Things don't have to be top notch but it should be evident that the producers give a shit about what they're doing. When I look at some of the early sets on Bob's site, they seem sort of amateurish but you can tell he really cared about what he was doing and tried to bring out the best in his models. I'd rather see glamour shots than a bunch of nudes in a cheap hotel room.
As far as the kind of girls go, everyone has their own taste. But there's a reason why someone would join a transsexual site. They want something they're not going to find on a straight or gay site and that's beautiful ladies with something special. How they're presented is going to have a different level of appeal for everyone. I like everything from hardcore to glamour but what really sets a video or photoset apart is when the models seem to enjoy what they're doing.
