Well i've been quite impressed by ladyboyadmirer's stunningly beautiful posts of last January and i won't hide they "inspired" me a bit for this one...

The girls' names should appear if you run your mouse over the pics and i just wanted to say a big THANKS to BobsTgirls for this priceless photo of Miriam (the last pic) which i have only recently found; and also to ladyboy69 for the awesome pic of Eye who gives me goosebumps with this lovely "teenage girl" look...

Is the term "Ladyboy" meant to be exclusive Asian, TS beauties ??

I realize that the title of the thread uses ?ladyboy,? and so perhaps you are asking because my post is not of a Thai. The term ?ladyboy,? as I understand it, is the usual translation of the Thai word ?kathoey? or ?katoey,? which as I understand it is used in Thailand and in some other Southeast Asian countries to indicate a transwoman, but also a cross-dressing male or even a very effinate gay man. In Thailand, it is sometimes also used to refer to a so-called ?Third Sex.?

Such labels are difficult to work with and quite fluid (thus supporting my general argument, posted often on this forum, that labels should be rejected). For instance, the ?femboy? thread, in which I post regularly, frequently provokes questions about terminology. To one person, a particular picture may be of a femboy, but to the person in the picture, that label may be rejected. My preference, to the degree possible, is to refer to people as they themselves wish to be referred.

However, as the thread had other posts of non-Thais, I felt it was okay to post the pictures that I did.

The posts were MORE than okay, they were great. I just get confused at some of the terminology and want to use it correctly.
Heck, I see photos and videos of non-asian women on sites that are called "LadyBoy" sites. I wonder if there are a lot of people who might use the term Ladyboy, interchangeably, with other terms assigned to Transsexual women.

I totally agree with you on this. However, sometimes, if one doesn't know what someone else want's to be called .........
I really would like, in general, for the terminology to be simplified. This also goes to other ethnic groups and races.
I like the terms likeHumans, Persons, People ,myself.

I agree. It's difficult to define people correctly if we don't know how they would define themselves.
