Question for SMC: is it correct that the five pointed star tattoo worn by some of the girls is a gang stamp? I read elsewhere that it is a carry over from the days of slavery.

I read it was a trans/gay sign in south america. If you notice it is very popular with the trans girls from there and some of the male models they are with have it too. I've been collecting star tattoo pics and planned to make a thread sometime about it.

I suppose the person to ask about it would be Nikki Montero since she knows lots of them through her site and travels.

I notice a lot of people here in north america have it too though. I've been thinking about getting one just because girls like Bianca make them look so hot.

I asked the same question about star tattoos some time ago (perhaps this past spring) and never received an answer.
