It's good that you liked it, but it does sound like that guy wasn't doing as well as he should have been to respect your feelings and treat you right. Still, it could have been a lot worse, and if you liked that, you'll probably like it all a lot more when there's some genuine love and / or effort from the other side. I can't back it up, but that's how I feel.
