I honestly thought that Montreal had a chance to win this game once they had the 2-1 lead(at the time, they held a 33-18 shot advantage). It seems like the shorthanded goal that Montreal allowed with only 7 seconds left in the second period took all the wind from their sails and woke Washington up.

I don't think that Montreal will be able to come back from a 3-1 game deficit, but I still don't believe that Washington will win it all.

Congratulations to the Bruins again. I was trying to follow the game at work, but I had to go on patrol while they were still down 2-0. I am glad to see that they were able to take it in OT! Buffalo took a penalty in the 2nd OT(too many men on the ice) and it cost them!

I read on tsn.ca that there have been 11 'too many men...' penalties called in the playoffs so far(not sure if this includes any of tonight's games or not).

Vancouver stormed back and beat LA 6-4. Their series is now tied at two games apiece.

Montreal had a 2 goal lead in the second game of the series. They haven't played hockey since. Sure they've shown up on the ice, but they still haven't played hockey. I too rather doubt that they can come back and win this round. They've already given up.

The Habs have been looking like an entire team of Ovechkins in the Olympics, without the theatrics.

That was a LONG Bruins game. I was watching "Food Inc." with my spouse at the time, but I kept flipping back and forth to catch the score.

That being said, I wouldn't have it any other way. To have a shootout to end a playoff game would destroy any intensity to a game! The overtime periods are awesome! One little mistake can cost so much!

A shootout? More luck than anything. If they ever did bring the shootout into the playoffs, I would honestly think of boycotting the NHL for a while.

I agree. I hate shootouts at any time. It would completely destroy the game if it was introduced for playoff games.

Seriously, could you even imagine Game 7 of the Stanley Cup final being decided by a ing shootout?
