Connie, I say this with absolute sincerity: as long as you didn't force the dog to do this, I say more power to you. It's not my "cup of tea," but these are the sorts of things that make the world go round. And while I cannot imagine doing such a thing myself, I would be dishonest if I didn't say that your story is arousing.
