I think that instrumental music that's thoughtfully chosen can enhance the sensuality of a scene in any well made porn video.
Regarding background noise, you have to be careful. A few years I let a friend video me playing with a guy I was "dating". We were sought of caught up in the moment and didn't notice some bothersome noise in the background. When we played the video back you could distinctly hear the "Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep of a garbage truck backing up, pick up a dumpster and empty it's contents in the truck. Considering what we were doing at the time it was an erotic metaphor and I laugh everytime I think about it! Here is a still from the video.
