I stand by my original statement and my explanation that I was making a different point than you. While yours may only be "different words," the original point was to show -- in a gentle way -- the tilt toward ungendering in the OP's original post.

Likewise I observed his use of a derogatory term? ?tranny.? Followed by a dismissive one? ?or whatever.?

As I pointed out, if I ever referred to my wife as ?whatever? I?m quite sure I?d be sleeping on the couch.

I was backing you up on the ungendering, and given the nature of the OP and the smiley face inlcuded in my post, I don't think mine was "un" gentle
