I read it was a trans/gay sign in south america. If you notice it is very popular with the trans girls from there and some of the male models they are with have it too. I've been collecting star tattoo pics and planned to make a thread sometime about it.

I notice a lot of people here in north america have it too though. I've been thinking about getting one just because girls like Bianca make them look so hot.

I asked the same question about star tattoos some time ago (perhaps this past spring) and never received an answer.
