How and where to meet a shemale

I am getting comfortable enough in my love of transsexual women that I want to go out and start meeting them locally in my town (or maybe take a trip to another close by town...). But I'm not exactly sure how to proceed. I'm not big on paying for a relationship with anyone... But I'd still love to meet and befriend some transsexual ladies out there. But here lies the problem, I have absolutely no idea how to do this. I don't live in new york, las vegas, or LA, so transsexual ladies aren't as bountiful where I live.

But how do I go about discreetly inquiring in my area, about places that transsexual ladies frequent? So I start in gay bars, or should there be a transsexual union in my town or something? How do transsexual ladies in my area know to meet where ever they meet?

Basically I'm just trying to find out, how one finds out about the transsexual activities in their area.
