Here's another difference between sport in North America and in England.

The Devils are 0-3 behind to Tampa Bay and with 9min 12sec of the second period left the arena lighting fails and eventually, when the problem can't be fixed, the game is postponed. The game will resume at a later date.

Earlier this season in an English football match Barnsley were leading 4-1 away at Plymouth after 58 minutes. It had been raining heavily before the game and during the first half, surface water was collecting on the pitch and the referee felt the water was stopping the movement of the ball.
The game was abandoned by the referee due to a waterlogged pitch. Barnsley's 4-1 lead counts for nothing. They will have to restart at 0-0 and play the full 90 minutes at a later date.

ila, sorry about the Devils OT win last night, a timely broken stick for Zach Parise helped lead to the goal. Plus Brodeur always appears give a little extra playing Montreal, his record is 37-15-5 against his hometown.

Saving 29 of 30 shots against the Habs, compared to only 4 of 7 the night before in the half game played against Tampa. I wonder if the Devils can get anything out of that game when it resumes on Sunday?
