vegans/vegatarians

if i invite a vegan/vegatarian to my house for dinner in the knowledge that he/she is a vegan and hand him or her a meal of dairy products and meat and try desperatly to convince them veganism/vegatarinism is balls i would be called a cunt, and deservedly so.
whenever i do have one of the freaks in my house to eat i make an efort to try to get something nice for them they will apreciate. but heres the thing when i go to their house i get handed a plate of crap then told "see isn't this just as nice without the meat and dairy" and then have to listen to an ear bashing about how to food i like is evil. if you wanna eat tofu and vegitabals thats fine don't try to force your views and rank food on me.
has anyone else had simliar expierince's, am i being unreasonable.
