Jezebel: Very Sad News

Bob of Bob's T-girls is reporting that Jezebel Yum (see pictures below, from Bob's site) committed suicide last Tuesday evening. He writes at his forum:

"I have not spoken to her in several months so I don't know what's been going on in her life, so I won't make any speculations as to what drove her to this."

This is very sad news. While it would be inappropriate to speculate on the specific reasons that Jezebel took her life, we do know that the transwomen we love face tremendous challenges in our world, challenges that often flow from misunderstanding and from hatred that so many spew against anything and anyone "different."

As smc stated (and Bob's site as well) who knows what exact circumstances led to this decision. It does bring to mind one photo shoot she did with a damaged eye, after having been in a fight the night before.

When I saw those photos it crossed my mind that Jezebel must have been going through some issues and that hopefully she could work them out. It's a terrible shame that ultimately she could not resolve the challenges she faced.

Jezebel, you will be missed!

Jezebel had kind of a shy, retiring look. Seemed like a sensitive soul. And, of course, was irreducibly cute. What a sad end. It's so sad when anyone takes their own life, least of all a young, vibrant girl with everything still in front of them. Rest in peace, Jezebel.

Jezebel was an extraordinary character with an amazing personality tucked away in her outer presentation. Coupled with the fact that she had the sort of fascinating face that proves difficult to tear one's eyes away from, for me ( and I suspect many followers ) she was one of the truly great representatives of Transgenderism.
