C`mon ... not even Bear from " BJ and the Bear " ? He rode shotgun in a big rig , have a heart Jen. :(

transjen
08-12-2009, 03:50 PM
Who?
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-12-2009, 08:29 PM
OMG ... BJ and the Bear was the classic tale of a man and his chimp ... BJ was a trucker and Bear was his navigator uh and a chimp , they never made their deliveries on time but had many grand adventures along the way. And helped those in need ... all the while staying one step ahead of the sinister Sheriff Lobo. A 70's classic ... probably on youtube.

transjen
08-12-2009, 09:49 PM
Ok found both BJ and Sheriff Lobo on You tube but sorry Bear can not ride shotgun in my Vette
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-12-2009, 10:27 PM
That's ok cause you cant drive his truck , so there :P

transjen
08-12-2009, 11:31 PM
Was never in to trucks and besides i was born after the CB craze ao i'll stick with cars
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-13-2009, 10:36 AM

rockabilly
08-13-2009, 11:09 PM
When i was a kid i had my pic taken sitting in KITT. :D

transjen
08-13-2009, 11:15 PM
My dad took me to a custom car show in SOUTH PHILLIE when i was around 7 years old and KITT was there and it was a big let down for me because i found out that KITT couldn't do the things it did on the tv show and it couldn't talk
:frown: Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-14-2009, 04:00 PM
Tell me about it :( But it was a fun day.

transjen
08-16-2009, 05:57 PM
Getting back to DR WHO, Did you see the spot on youtube where someone spliced the tenth DR and Donna into footage of the classic STAR TREK
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-16-2009, 09:03 PM
No , missed it.

transjen
08-16-2009, 10:40 PM
It was pretty cool wish i could have burned a copy on to disc, Another cool meeting would be DR WHO meeting JUDGE DREDD
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-16-2009, 11:09 PM
Doctor Who meets Tank Girl would be cooler.

transjen
08-16-2009, 11:15 PM
Tankgirl  YUCK never likes her  but i think they have the same creater as they are simliar and both started over in ENGLAND and came out not to far apart but JUDGE DREDD is way better
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-16-2009, 11:23 PM
I prefer Tank Girls punk rock anarchy style and attitude. She rules the wasteland.

transjen
08-16-2009, 11:47 PM
Maybe so but the movie was lame
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-16-2009, 11:53 PM
Parts of it were bad ... but Lori Petty stepped into the steel-toed ass kicking curb stomping boots of Tank Girl nicely.

transjen
08-17-2009, 12:12 AM
I could never get in to it, Didn't see it in the theaters and i rented the VHS tape when it came out and didn't care for it, I'd rather watch JUDGE DREDD or SWAMP THING
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-17-2009, 12:24 AM
Swamp Thing was awesome ... although they made the sequel too campy ... the tv series was good too.

transjen
08-17-2009, 12:39 AM
The first movie was great, the 2nd movie was a let down and i haven't seen the tv series since it first aired in the mid 80s and i was just a kid at the time i rember not caring for the show very much back then
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-17-2009, 09:48 AM
I have the first Swamp Thing on dvd. The kids were funny in pt 2 and it had good music.

transjen
08-17-2009, 06:05 PM
I know one of em had the opening song by CCR born on the bayou a really cool song
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-17-2009, 09:16 PM
That was pt 2 , And Heather Locklear was his love interest.

transjen
08-17-2009, 11:55 PM
Knew it was one of em, Sorry Heather Locklear never did anything for me
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-19-2009, 12:35 PM
She was cute ... but i've never been all that attracted to blondes.

I prefer redheads then brunettes. Back on topic ... when is the next special coming on ... The waters of Mars ?

transjen
08-19-2009, 04:28 PM
My brother use to pound away while looking at photos of her
Haven't heard when BBCAMERICA will air the next special
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-19-2009, 04:39 PM
 I hope that they show it soon ... or at least air reruns or bring back some other shows ... like Hex and Jeckyl or MI-5.

transjen
08-19-2009, 04:45 PM
I'd rather they bring back ROBIN HOOD
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-19-2009, 05:22 PM
Or classic Doctor Who.

transjen
08-19-2009, 07:20 PM
I can just put in a DVD for that, I just got MOONBASE on DVD the 2nd DR vs the Cybermen what could be better
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-19-2009, 08:16 PM
:D lucky , I had wished Hex would have continued ... it's the only show i know of where good lost. And the ending ... it went out w/ a whimper. Plus Ella Dee was hot.

transjen
08-19-2009, 10:14 PM
I only watched HEX a couple of times so i never really follewed it
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-19-2009, 10:37 PM
It was a slow build up , I perked up when Ella Dee was brought in ( hot redhead ) and the show became a british Buffy. You gotta watch the last 2 episodes though ... who knew the end of the world was so poetic.

transjen
08-19-2009, 10:47 PM
I think HEX is one of the shows youtube has full episodes aviable, I'll have to check out the shows on youtube
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-19-2009, 11:08 PM
When Ella came into the storyline it became more action oriented ... i mean she's a 500 yr old witch who slays demons and fallen angels but looks like a hot 19 yr old. Oh and she's a redhead ... did i mention i fancy redheads? The ending made me imagine what could have happened ... did they continue the fight or as Ella said get tired of always fighting and just give up.

transjen
08-20-2009, 03:01 PM
Sounds like you like Ella more then the show it's self, I never cared to much for Xena and the only time i would watch it was when the blond anti Xena was if she was in the episode
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-20-2009, 03:45 PM
You mean Callisto ;) and yeah i watched Hex every week when Ella joined the show .

transjen
08-20-2009, 05:55 PM
Yeah that's the one i was talking about Callisto ,i can't rember her name for awhile but yeah i liked her a lot come to think of it i played a female thief who i based on her she had a nasty streak in her in one game she cut off a guys you know what
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-20-2009, 06:02 PM
:o Yikes , My mage has a protective charm against such attacks.

transjen
08-20-2009, 06:11 PM
Oh come on now having your dingy cut off is no big deal
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-20-2009, 06:24 PM
I'm rather attached to mine ... and like it that way. Unless i had a hydra penile potion ... another would grow back in it's place. lol

transjen
08-20-2009, 06:28 PM
Sorry no such potion, Once it's gone it's gone it won't grow back trust me i know first hand
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-20-2009, 06:38 PM
My mage is very crafty at potion brewing ... i need slimy snails , puppydogs tails , eye of newt , and a wedge of passion fruit and ... TA - DAHH one
Penile
Everlasting
Nearly
Invincible
Serum

or P.E.N.I.S for short.

transjen
08-20-2009, 06:43 PM
YUCK that's one nasty potion i'll never drink double yuck, Why anyone would want to regrow one is beyond me YUCK that idea will give me nightmares
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-20-2009, 06:47 PM
Wizard please , as if you've never tasted P.E.N.I.S before.

transjen
08-20-2009, 07:17 PM
Callisto walks up and smashs the potion bottle over the wizards head she then takes out her dagger and cut's of his dingy
 Jerseygirl Callisto

rockabilly
08-20-2009, 07:18 PM
HA! My mage mocks Callisto as she fell into a trap. That was a shadow clone ... my Mage also specializes in illusion spells.
But as a peace offering he brewed you a special popion ...
Vaginal
Ale of
Dinky
Gripping
Extract

or V.A.D.G.E for short ... dont ask what it's made from and mind the taste. rotfl

transjen
08-20-2009, 07:28 PM
The wizard feels a tap on his shoulder and as he turns and looks and sees Callisto behind him, Never trust a mage as far as you can throw him, Poor Gabrielle oh well better her then me
 Jerseygirl Callisto

rockabilly
08-20-2009, 07:39 PM
What? You dont like Vadge ? Good thing my mage has Callistos one weakness , i summon the souls of her family and while she is distracted i smack her w/ my rod of stroking ... uh striking and cast her into hades. Now i'm bored ... i use my last mana to call forth a TARDIS and leave .

rockabilly
08-20-2009, 07:49 PM
Aww double donkey punch !! My mana was to low .... instead of a TARDIS i got the Phone Booth from Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure. Sigh oh well off i go.

transjen
08-20-2009, 10:04 PM
Before you leave a cloud of dark smoke appears and out step a man dressed all in black and Callisto is standing next to him and you hear the man in black reply.' look ain't things bad enought down there without her, She your problem' With that the man in black disappears
 Jerseygirl Callisto

rockabilly
08-20-2009, 10:51 PM
Unless she can travel in time she's not my problem anymore ... my mage " Boneya Azzeharde " is going to the future.

Let Xena or Hercules quench the fire in Callistos loins ... ;)

And when did Johny Cash " the man in black " become a teleporter ?

transjen
08-20-2009, 11:05 PM
Actualy the man in black would have been LORD HADRS ruler of hades, And hell yeah i'd be all over the actor who played Hercules, Oh my now i'm horny
:coupling: Jersygirl Callisto

rockabilly
08-20-2009, 11:56 PM
Your Welcome , My mages plan worked ... all too easy.

transjen
08-21-2009, 12:32 AM
Well Eric will be happy but the mage is stuck stroking his dingy
:p Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-21-2009, 12:31 PM
The " Booth " has transported the mage to the kingdom of Nymphora ... and Boneya Azzeharde is happy.

transjen

:frown: Jerseygirl Jen

transjen
08-23-2009, 01:39 AM
Just found this on youtube THE ROBINSONS LOST IN SPACE unsold pilot from 04, To bad CW passed on it was better the SMALLVILLE
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-23-2009, 09:23 PM
Smallville has run it's course imo , when it comes back rebrand it as Superman or Metropolis or spin it off into Supergirl or Green Arrow.

transjen
08-23-2009, 09:37 PM
I hate Smallville watched the very first episode when aired and hated it as i was bored to tears, But the Robinsons Lost in Space would have been a much better choice yes it was an updated version of the 60s lost in space but it still looked good first off Penny is only a baby and there's a second son David who appears to die in space but they never filmed any other episodes also no DR SMITH and the robot have a whole differnt look to him no more pinchers and no domed head shame i think this would have been a big hit
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-23-2009, 10:47 PM
I liked the robot , I have one mint in box ...

Well it's from the relaunch of the classic toys ... got it at Spencers years ago.

transjen
08-23-2009, 11:02 PM
HMMN i missed out on them as i had no idea they were out, I'll have to keep an eye open for one to show up.I have to laught as with all the toys i have did you know that i don't have a single Barbie doll

 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-23-2009, 11:24 PM
Not even The X-Files Mulder and Scully versions ?

transjen
08-23-2009, 11:33 PM
Nope not even the X-FILES Barbies  i don't even have a Barbie Corvette but my sister did hmmnn perhapes i should she if she'll be a nice older sister and give it to her little sister
:innocent: Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-23-2009, 11:47 PM
That would be sisterly of her. ;) I have the big card Mulder and Scully figures from the X-files movie mint in box. And my coolest ( at least to me ) a talking Jay and Silent Bob action figures set.

transjen
08-24-2009, 12:08 AM
UMMN who's Jay and BOB? Someone from one of the 90s bad STAR TREK series? The only BOB the comes to mind is OLD BOB from the BLACK HOLE
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-24-2009, 01:23 AM
You dont know Jay and Silent Bob ?! A Jersey girl gotta know them ... from Kevin Smiths movies ... ok rent Clerks and begin your education of all things View Askew. Jersey Represent!!

transjen
08-24-2009, 01:30 AM
Clerks? Isn't that the crappy cartoon on cartoon network? If so no thanks i prefer the VENTURE BROTHERS that cartoon kicks ass
 Jersetgirl Jen

rockabilly
08-24-2009, 12:39 PM
HRRMMM ignore the cartoon ... Your assignment is to watch these movies
1. Clerks
2. Mallrats
3. Chasing Amy
4. Dogma
5. Jay & Silent Bob strike back
6. Clerks 2

;)

transjen
08-24-2009, 02:52 PM
Well one outa six ain't bad, i've seen Mailrats
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-24-2009, 04:08 PM
Then remember Jay and Silent Bob tried to destroy the stage. Watch the other 5 Jen ;)

transjen
08-24-2009, 05:04 PM
Are you refering to the overweight guy and the skinny blond burn out guy?
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-24-2009, 07:55 PM
Yeah Jay and Silent Bob , :)

transjen
08-24-2009, 08:05 PM
Like oh my gawd my highschool was full of bozos like them
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-24-2009, 10:17 PM
Posers , Jay and Bob ... Jersey boys that made good. Kevin Smith ( Bob ) is a great writer/director.
Jason Mewes ( Jay ) ... he's funny and now sober. I have 3 sets of their Action figures.

transjen
08-24-2009, 10:31 PM
Well if they are your typical Jerseyboy then i'm very glad i'm a Jersygirl
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-25-2009, 02:04 PM
I'm glad your a Jerseygirl Jen. You rule !

transjen
08-25-2009, 02:14 PM
Just got the five DR's on DVD today, So tonight i get to watch the hotest DR Peter Davidson :inlove:
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
08-26-2009, 12:33 PM
Sweet , We got back to Doctor Who ;) For a Doctor Who thread ... we covered a wide spectrum.

transjen
09-22-2009, 10:19 PM
Never got to watch the DR WHO DVD as planed, I finaly got to watch tonight,
I just ordered THE TIME WARRIOR on DVD from amazon this one stars the act who played BOBA FETT in the STAR WAR movies
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-22-2009, 10:33 PM
Cool. Dont know if you heard but Gillian Anderson might fill the boots of The Rani next year when Matt Smith starts his tenure as the Doctor. :D Welcome back Jen.

transjen
09-22-2009, 10:44 PM
Didn't she star in the X-FILES?
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-22-2009, 10:55 PM
Yes , the new producers are big fans and want her to be in the show. They also want to bring back bigger enemies and have more confrontations w/ the Rani and the Master. Remember You Are Not Alone , it applied to more than just the Master.

transjen
09-22-2009, 11:08 PM
Well Romana II left the 4th DR to explore E-SPACE so she may still be aroundand will be easy to bring back in the form of a new actress, Give the role to Billie Piper she'd make a great Romana III
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-22-2009, 11:22 PM
Romana had assumed role of President of the Timelord Council and was presumably on Gallifrey when the Doctor used the ultimate weapon. But if the Rani and the Master back ... Romana would be a great ally. I demand that Nick Frost be cast as the Meddling Monk. :)

transjen
09-22-2009, 11:33 PM
Let the melding Monk stay gone as only Peter Butterworth can play the role, Besides he last appeared in aceint Egypt in the DALEK MASTER PLAN which sadly most of the 12 parts are lost but i do have it on DVD with the three remaining eposides the missing parts have a sound recording and still photos but you can get the jest of the story
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-23-2009, 01:28 PM
Nooo :D They need Timelords and Ladies that were key players in the Doctors past. So Monk , War Chief , Master , Rani , Romana , Marnal ... anyone can come back.

transjen
09-23-2009, 05:26 PM
The Melding Monk was a great openette for the first DR and would have worked agianst the 2nd DR but the Monk really won't work now, If you want more timelords you forgot the Lama from the last 3rd DR who helped him regenarate in Planet of Spiders
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-23-2009, 07:36 PM
They'd revamp the Monk for sure , but he would be a comedic enemy a nuiscance but not as dangerous as the Master or Rani.

transjen
09-23-2009, 11:42 PM
I still think the Monk should not return and besides i like the theory that the Monk was the Master in a prevous regenration
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-24-2009, 03:13 PM
We will have to agree to disagree ... besides why change names after regenerating. The Master was always the Master and the Monk was the Monk. :P

transjen
09-25-2009, 05:51 PM
The DR, the Master, the melding Monk are not ther proper names they are titles they go by, When the melding Monk first appeared he was maskaraiding as a monk hence he was refered to as the melding Monk, When the Master first appeared in the early episodes of the 3rd DR he was going by the Master and that has been his title ever since, i believe it was the DR WHO fans themselves who came up with the Monk and the Master were the same person but no confrimed answer wheter yes or no has ever been given so that question is still unanswered and it appears that female timelords don't go by titles Romana is Romana and the Rani is Rani which kinda sucks as we females get the short end and we should get titles also
:frown: Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-26-2009, 02:32 PM
What would your title be , oh great Timelady Jen ?

transjen
09-26-2009, 02:40 PM
HMMNNN the only thing i can think of at the moment is THE TIMEQUEEN YEAH i know pretty lame i'll come up with a better one later
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-26-2009, 03:33 PM
Coming up w/ a title is harder than you think it would be. I'll be the Warrior .... "shooting at the wall of heartache , bang bang , i am the Warrior. "

transjen
09-26-2009, 06:43 PM
I think Patty Smyth might have an issue with that one
 Timeprincess Jen

rockabilly
09-26-2009, 06:53 PM
Yeah it might cause a Scandal. ;) How bout the Noble?

transjen
09-26-2009, 07:34 PM
I think Patty Symth will let you have that one, Geez i was in grade school when that song was a hit
 Timeprincess Jen

rockabilly
09-26-2009, 10:24 PM
The video for that song is pure 80's Cheez .... Love It!!

:D

transjen
09-26-2009, 10:34 PM
Back then MTV aired that video alot my brother and sister were MTV junkies and both were older then me so i got stuck watching MTV alot
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-26-2009, 10:42 PM
It was great when they showed videos. Now it's all reality tv , yuck!

transjen
09-26-2009, 10:57 PM
I can't rember the last time i watched MTV, It was probaly around 92 or 93 when they went just about all hip hop and i started watching VH1 which is another channel i haven't watched in years as they no longer show videos or the 70s and 80s salutes
:frown: Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-27-2009, 05:49 AM
Even Fuse (another music channel) jumped on the reality bandwagon. :frown:

transjen
09-27-2009, 04:17 PM
I rember when MTV had the VJ and my brother had the hots for Nina Blackwood
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-27-2009, 04:27 PM
And Julie Brown ... the redhead.

transjen
09-27-2009, 10:33 PM
You're just saying that because you're traped in a body of a white girl
 Keeper of useless triva Jen

rockabilly
09-27-2009, 11:03 PM
Huh ... I'm not trapped ... per se , a certain part is stuck ... but that's her fault ... she clenched down . :D

transjen
09-27-2009, 11:28 PM
Actually traped in the body of a white girl was the title of her CD back when she was a sub VJ in the mid to late 80s
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-27-2009, 11:32 PM
.... I knew that .... just keepin you on your toes. :) She was funny in " Earth Girls are Easy"

transjen
09-28-2009, 12:00 AM
Like i said i'm the keeper of useless triva, Here's one for you what is Speed Racer's real name?
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-28-2009, 12:12 AM
I dunno ... I know Spridle is the little brother and chim-chim is the chimp , but Speeds real name... drawin a blank.

transjen
09-28-2009, 12:30 AM
Drum roll please Who is GREG RACER, Little note that is why his shirt had the letter G on it, Ok here's an easier one who was the voice for Melody she was the blond drummer on JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS
 Jersygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-28-2009, 12:40 AM
I think Cherryl Ladd was Melodies singing voice but not the actual speaking voice.
Kinda how Tara Reid was Melody in the movie but none of them sang. Anna Waronker, Bif Naked and the girl from Letters to Cleo did the vocals.

transjen
09-28-2009, 12:52 AM
Yeap before she made it big on Charlie's Angles she was the singing voice of Melody and i think she also did the speaking voice in both cartoons the other being JOSIE AND THE PUSSYCATS IN SPACE a Josie and the Pussycats meets Far out Spacenuts not there greatest idea
 Jerseygirl Jen

rockabilly
09-28-2009, 01:08 AM
Yeah putting them in space was lame ... just like that Happy Days cartoon ... i swear i remenber an animated Fonzie! Well goodnight Jen , take care. :)

transjen
09-28-2009, 01:21 AM

I believe that David Tennants obligation to doing Hamlet is one reason for the shows hiatus. As they would be 4 90 minute specials leading to the 2010 season , and it gave the new production team time to write scripts tailored to Matt Smiths 11th Doctor and start off w/ a bang .... literally!

Have they said anything yet on how they plan on resolving the fact that a Time Lord can only regenerate 12 times(or was it 13?)? After that, they are supposed to die for good. The next Doctor will be the 11th(or 12th if you count that movie, but apparently they are not classifying that as canon, correct?) so I hope they give an explanation soon.

Just trying to forget about that fact and trying to sweep it under the rug will just piss off the long-time fans I would imagine.

I don't think they EVER imagined Dr Who would be going strong 46 years later! There are plenty of holes in the logic of the show already, so why let a few facts get in the way of a good story. It's a brilliant show.

I agree that it is a brilliant show, but that is a pretty major plot device. The writing has (for the most part) been excellent for the "new" Doctor Who, so I think they could come up with some explanation that would appease everyone. I will still enjoy the show whether or not it is ever answered.:)

The 13th regeneration is the final and fatal one. Apparently when that level is reached they age rapidly physically and deteriorate as the Master did , however new regenerations can be added to a timelord by the Council on Gallifrey. Case in point the Master was ressurected to be a soldier on the frontlines of the last time war but ran away and hid as Proffesor Yana. So he was given at least one regeneration as he used it in the TARDIS before he stole it ... and boobytrapped it.

Oh and when the 6th Doctor was on trial , his prosecutor the Valeyard was a potential 13th Doctor who became evil and wanted to steal the regenerations of his younger alternate. The Valeyard could be used much later , as the 10th Doctors clone left w/ Rose on "Pete's World" could become him. With the Rani and Master coming back w/ the new series and other classic Whoniverse baddies anything is possible but one thing is sure ... Time is catching up w/ the Doctor and he can't run forever.

If they tell the last Time War story then they'd need to bring Paul McGann back as the 8th Doctor and show his regeneration after burning and timelocking Gallifrey into the 9th Doctor. I've talked about that earlier in this thread , but as cool as it would be to see that .... i doubt they'd do it.

The children in need specials are canon but very short .... i think maybe 20 minutes or so. I think "Time Crash" where the 10th Doctor forgot to raise his shields and his TARDIS merged w/ the 5th Doctors and they talked and made repairs is on the season 4 dvd set .... then he forgot to raise his shields again and collided w/ the Titanic as seen in Voyage of the Damned. And i can't wait to see Guillermo del Toro's Hobbit film. If the filming and editing process is as grueling as it was on Peter Jackson , then you can expect a slimmer Guillermo when he finishes The Hobbit. lol

I can't wait either. If it can capture the same magic that Pan's Labyrinth had, I will be hooked.

My only concern is the plan to make it into a trilogy. The Hobbit is a small book , i can maybe see them spacing it into 2 movies but that's stretching it.

Three movies? They made each of the main books into a single movie, yet the prequel book will be made into three movies? That sounds like a recipe for disaster for sure!

And rockin' with the new Avatar, Rocka!

Thanks , I think they may add more exposition or character development to stretch the story. It will be difficult to make 3 movies if they stick to the book faithfully. But more Gollum is a good thing "my precioussss". The studio wants another trilogy , the fans just want a good movie.

Back to Doctor Who .... the new logo is really nice.

The Specials are being released on Feb 2nd, 2010. There is even going to be a complete collection of the Specials called Doctor Who: The Complete Specials Collection. It contains Waters of Mars, The New Doctor, Planet of The Dead, and The End Of Time.

I think I'll pick up that complete collection for myself as a late Christmas present.;)

I'll pick up the collection as well.

It sounds like there is going to be some sweet extras as well. Commentary tracks are just one of them.

Some more information about it can be found at www.tvshowsondvd.com . It's a great site to find out information about release dates of DVDs for tv series. They sometimes have reviews about various shows too. It's a pretty good site for information.:)

Yup , He regenerates at the conclusion of it.

Donna Noble's granddad acts as his companion , and Lucy Saxon also comes back.

Then Matt Smith takes over as the Doctor.

According to the DR WHO magazine David Tenent is now consudered the best DR ever, But i wonder if they are just browning noising the newer fan base the ones who don't like anything before the 9th DR, I still feel the 4th DR was the greatest after all he was the DR that brought the show here to the USA

Tom Baker has always been the fan favorite for many years , even David Tennant said that Tom was the Docpor he grew up watching.

But i think Tennant really made the Doctor more accesible to a wider audience , but that also has alot to do w/ the writing and the show as a whole.

Tennant really pushed his Doctor to the limits on Waters of Mars. Having lost so much already he broke the laws of time to save the survivors of Bowie base and must deal w/ the consequences of those actions.

Waters of Mars was the DR's biggest failure in end he saved no one or saved anything so this time he failed and the cost of this failure will lead up to Matt Smith palying the DR and we will all suffer and pay the cost of his failure, Some place Colin Baker is now the happiest man on the face of the earth as he is no longer the worst DR Matt Smith is

Actually the 2 survivors who told of what happened on Bowie Base will have far reaching consequences that the Doctor didn't predict. Adelaide killed herself to try and put time and history back on course and for the most part succeeded w/ her part , but the other 2 did not and now they have descendents who should never have existed and it's causing a cascading ripple effect in time.

I'll give the new Doctor a chance to prove himself , after all his first battle will be against the Master.

Yes the one who only appeared once in a tv movie produced not by the BBC and in away screwed up a lot of the DR WHO continum, So should this DR count or be disregarded like the two movies from the 60s, It looks like the tv series will continue to count him guess because of all the novels writen about this DR i always felt this DR should be disreduarded and it would unsrew a lot of the continum plus give the show an extra regenration but then no one ever asked me after all i'm only a long fan and don't matter

You matter to me, Jen.:):cool::respect:

If they wanted to, they could create a feasible means with which to "remove" that particular Doctor from continuity. Heck, they did it with the new Star Trek movie(and that was a changing of the entire Star Trek mythos!) so it shouldn't be too hard for just a single Doctor, can it?;)

It was an animated Doctor Who special titled "Scream of the Shakla" the Doctor was voiced and looked like Richard Grant.

Sorry Shadows and Jen .... but the 8th Doctor is deadlocked and timelocked .... he is canon due to the novels and audioplays.

He might have only been in that awful movie but he is still counted. Besides it was the 8th Doctor who fought in the last Time War and ended it w/ dire consequences.

The shock of seeing what he did or as a side effect caused his regeneration into the 9th Doctor. And also split the 9th Doctor into 3 potential people , Christopher Eccleston , Rowan Atkinson , Richard Grant.

I think they always counted , i think it's a case of bad quality control.

If the 8th Doctors movie had been better than it would have been continued w/ a new series back then , but it was just not that good especially when held up beside the previous Doctors.

It all depends on who you talk to fans of STAR TREK all series STAR WARS and DR WHO have this problem with novels some claim they are part of the whole story others say they don't matter and there fore are not cannon i can care less about STAR WARS i've read a lot of the STAR TREK TOS novels and a lot of them were very good and some if counted is fine by me i've also read a few DR WHO novels and i find most to be well bad and poorly writen and should not count and sadly if the TIME WAR is ever done it will be in novel form i hope they find a good writer for it perhaps one of the STAR TREK novel writers or Peter David would be a good choice

Good writing is the key to being accepted by the fans. The Time War is one of the key pieces to the whole revival of the series.
