Actually, Hellblazer, I should explain my previous post just so you know I wasn't poking fun at you -- I was actually poking some nudging fun at Bionca, who is a good sport and all-around great geek. She and I are both big comic book fans, and one time while trading some PMs and debating something in comics, she basically said she would show up at San Diego Con one day and whip me (and my opinion about certain comics) into shape...dressed as the White Witch.

The first two are from a very brief go at modeling (probably why I look not so shabby in them). The photographer was my stylist's boyfriend so I got a free makeup and hair coloring out of it in exchange for helping his partner expand his portfolio. The end result was a call from some guy who wanted to take naked pics, but I turned him down and then had an hour long laughing fit at the very idea that some guy would pay money to see me naked... still makes me chuckle a little.

Ever read those tabloids that catch those hollywood glamour gals without makeup? Most look like Pee Wee Herman. Sure many to most of everyone dream of sleeping with a beauty queen(take that as straight or gay),but the truth of the matter is, real beauty is as one does not as one looks like. I admire both these ladies for their contributions which have enlightened and entertained many many people. And I admire their courage to be who they are. Attractive, you bet your sweet bippy they are. If both these ladies were to post nudies of themselves here, I'd be among the first to wank myself off to them before Ms.Freire. (Truth speaking, I've already played with myself dreaming of one of them already. A pm will get the answer to that one.)

I'm just not so focused on how I look. I like how I look, and I appreciate that some people find me attractive. I surely don't think I'm ugly (I'd be having a fit in some DR's office still if I thought that). The thing is, it is still hard to accept compliments... just a thing I guess. I think that is more common among Trans*women than lots of folks think. I mean spending 18 (ish) + years having a mental/emotional battle with your body takes a toll. Then to get that sorted only to find that the better you look, the more complicated some stuff gets.

If some random guy likes how I look and asks me out eventually I have to say something about what's happening in the undies. Attraction easily turns into accusations of deception which becomes potentially unsafe. The strange thing is, the better I looked, the less shit I took on a daily basis - folks just assume I'm a regular (cute) gal and go on. OTOH the more I looked like a (cute) regular old gal, the more guys would hit on me opening up situations where safety became an issue.

For this reason, and I'm generally just kinda shy, I tend to down play compliments or change the subject, or just make jokes about it. So, yeah I guess can look good, but that was just luck of the draw really.

As for your ultra-sensitivity over accepting a compliment in real life, I am sympathetic. The security issues for Tgirls is a harsh reality even in modern society as we speak. Some people are appreciative towards transwomen, some are nonchalant, while quite a few are violent.

As for me, I appreciate the intense struggle every Tgirl goes through to become a woman. Her life is a canvas and her success as a transwoman is like a masterpiece. I know Lynn is married. I'm sure many of them date and still others retained their pre-transition relationships.

Why is it harder for trans women to date? Because hetero men take a potential social "hit" by dating us and that's hard to deal with. Gay guys don't really have an out, they have to deal with homophobia or be alone. Hetero guys have an obvious and less complicated "out" - non-trans women. The fear of being seen as gay seems to be a recurring theme and social stigma can be a powerful motivator.

It was almost impossible to not get tanned this past summer! It was sooooo hot out. We barely got any rain in my city(Southwestern Ontario), so I actually got some sun. I have a fair complexion, so I don't usually tan. This year I actually got some colour, which was a nice change of pace.

The sunburn I got on the backs of my legs whilst searhing for beach glass wasn't so nice. Yeeeouch! It was also quite irritating once I started peeling.:eek:

I think we had some local records broken with regards to temperature and lack of rain! My hose got quite the workout, that is for sure.

Due to unforseen circumstances with my job, I had a lot of free time in the summer(I still do, actually) so I would walk over to my parents house and the three of us would go walking for about an hour or so. We went to a small creek and walked along both sides of it. There were a lot of trees for cover, and about 5 different families of ducks that called it home. I also saw a turtle or two, and heard(but never saw) some bullfrogs. It was quite peaceful, and there was a nice breeze!

A few weeks ago, during a cool day in September, I decided to go for a walk at 3am. There was a fair wind that night, so the leaves were rustling quite fiercely and the branches of the dead trees(:() would click together(a little creepy at that time of night, to be honest:lol:). The clouds that I saw in the night sky, along with patches of stars, were amazing. It almost felt like I was on another world. I would spend moments just staring at the sky, watching as the bright white clouds shot across. It was really cool. I wish that I had a camera so I could have taken some pictures!
