The cheapest and a harmless way would be to shave your pubs and comparable hair (underarm hair, and maybe body hair). If there is no hair they can grab, they can't stay on your body (Head hair is usually to thin for them).
They don't life long without human contact (about a day), but changing and hot washing of clothes, bedclothes and towels may help.
Crab lice like it warm and wet.
If its crab lice, you would usually see your skin colours blue or red, and could possibly see the animals themselves.
I would go to a doctor, but I don't know much about the U.S. health system.

well i went to see a doctor and apparently it is and i got some chemical lotion and use it once and it should be gone.i ddi clean all my bed sheets and clothes used so by tomorrow they should be gone hopefully. i was really scared about them being dangerous but puzzled since i have never had sex. but it seems it will all be ok.
