I've given up on trying to keep up with new technology. Costs too much money and uses too much current. As I run linux and don't play games I don't need a high spec pc anyway.
At the moment I have a small light laptop, and it does all I need. Dell lattitude d430 Core 2 solo 1033MHz 2GB ddrII ram 30GB HD Ubuntu 8.10 Lots of external drive space on a little nas, and it suits all my needs. I did connect a nice 24" flatscreen for comfortable use at home though.
