Autogynophilia is the arousal of imagining oneself as a woman. Amongst the Trans* community this term is pretty loaded and is rather controversial. Some gals feel this perfectly describes their motivations in transitioning or a part of their process. Some gals feel that it lumps them in with sexual fetishists in a way that erases their motivations to transition.

If the label fits, and you find comfort with it, bravo! It may be a starting point to self-discovery. It may be some new information that doesn't fit at all for you. Either way, it is important to note that "man-trans-woman" is a scale and lots of people fall all over the place in various points in their lives. Labels and definitions are only useful if they help an individual process their own experiences.
