"top" and "bottom" are gay terms and a manifestation of gay culture. I was always bothered by the question "are you a top or a bottom?" but I guess its a necessary evil when it comes to meeting dates.

For the record I don't like the terms and feel it further enforces the idea of transsexuals as a faction of the gay population. Which we are NOT.

I had never thought about the origin of the terms. Terminology can be flexible. What terms would you like to see used?

In my personal life I am treated as a woman. No man asks me or expects that I do the fucking. I could never be in a relationship with a man like that.
In my profession I often am expected to be the top and a lot of attention is focused on my anatomy. That's business. I can use the lingo top & bottom.

In my personal life I am the woman and the man is the man and never are those words mentioned.
