Perhaps that's true, but if women really don't hang-out online, how on earth do they succeed in finding their partner?

I personally feel that genetic women find it hard to join a forum such as this because it's almost entirely populated by men.
On top of that, many have in my view great difficulty coming out of the closet.

There are other means than the internet to find a partner you know... I've had GFs before the '90s.

Bet you did! I don't need the internet either to find a boyfriend or even a female lover. We're talking about transsexual partners here.

women are on dating sites, Or other community sites like MySpace, YouTube etc. Also it should be said that a good number of these GGs were married to their partners pre-transition.

Even for a single Trans* in bar.. a lesbian club will be safer for us to be open than a typical straight club

Mabey you ladys could give us guys ideas on how we could attract more "genetic girls" to the forum, point us in the right direction on what to do and not to do
I'm sure most of the guys would love to see more gg on the forum and hear there point of view on all things transsexual.

As for not coming out the closet, im dont think that is an issue here as the great thing about the internet is we can all remain anonymous if we wish, if that wasn't the case most of us guys wouldn't be on this forum sharing our love of shemales.

When confronted with the URL address of this website, most genetic women will in my view take a sudden U turn. It is just sending out the wrong signal. And so, in order to attract more GG's, a change of name must be considered.

Perhaps such a change will also cause more transsexual women to join the forum (a welcome side effect). As Melissa has already pointed out, not all m2f girls feel comfortable with the current name.

Suggestions for a new name? Well I'm not very good at that but "ThirdGender" definitely beats "TransLadyboy". Perhaps we can have a poll on the subject.

Before anyone gets too interested in changing the name of the site take into consideration that the domain "transladyboy.com" is registered and paid for by the owner of this site. There are also several sites that have links to this site. This is done by cooperation among all site owners concerned. Does anyone really expect the owner of this site to give up a domain name that has been paid for and then purchase a new domain name. Then there is the problem of having all links at various sites changed. Also consider the members that come here but do so infrequently. How do you expect them to find the new site? It's possible to have a redirect to a new site, but the redirect doesn't go on forever and there is a cost associated with that. In conclusion consider the cost and problems a new domain name would cost before deciding that you want a new name for this site.

I knew this would cause big trouble.
You let a woman have her say and all hell breaks loose, typical! look at the mess you made now ggadmirer

Ila i think most of us know it would be virtually impossible to change the name of the site now, its so well established as transladyboy and no doubt alot of people like the name but some clearly dont.
I just thought it would be interesting to hear peoples thoughts on the name of our site, who likes it and who doesn't, who would change it if possible and what to, its just interesting to hear the various views.
Im not exactly what you would call politically correct (i hate that word) but i can see where ggamidmirer is comming from.
I dont think the title transladyboy accurately reflects the love and respect a lot of people on this forum feel for the "third sex" and a lot of the ladys and transgender girls might be put off by it and its such a shame more girls and tgirls aren't on the forum.
Having said that what would you replace it with.
Its just so difficult to know the right words to use when talking about transsexuals without offending someone and its too late anyway.
I think most things about this site are just right, we've got a great little community, lots of friendly tlovers, great pics and posts and very little bickering and bitching that you see on alot of other forums but the title ive always been a little uneasy about, then ive never really liked the phrase ladyboy (even though i do use it occasionally) as its used as a derogatory remark alot of the time.
Still nothing perfect.

Mabey we should have a poll on whether its a good idea to have a poll on changing the site name

Oh dear! I think our leader shemale sex lover is going to be livid with me
Sorry oh great one

Gee! a little pissed at Ila are we? He does do his job here for free you know.
This site IS different. I can't explain it . But I do think that a more female acceptable site would not be prone to attract all the "porno" pic's of ladyboys.
Kind of like "you don't buy lobster at Kentucky Fried Chicken". While it is nice to see all three sexes here, this site is not overly agressive to accomplish that. Not well said perhaps but I hope I made my point.

Not nice to put all the blame on me, tlover. It was after all your request I was responding to.

Seriously, I know that it's not easy to change the name of this site and I do not have any high hopes in that direction. I was merely voicing my honest opinion. Hope I haven't really upset anyone.
