Just what exactly is a "real girl"? Why am I any less a "girl" than a natural born girl? I may be missing a clit but I'm packing a very functional penis that gives and receives pleasure as good as any clit. I certainly agree with Ila, a 'real girl' is in the mind of the beholder. I think they are all certainly girls and I have always refered to them as such. I think you are refering to some one with a cunt, I could forget about those; wouldn't be that hard but I and bi-sexual and like both.

I think it should be clear. Dividing people up isn't onherently "wrong". Sometimes a distinction needs to be made - tall vs. short, blonde vs brunette, whatever vs whatever else. The key is to make divisions without implying a positive/negative association or placing an objective value of one over the other. In the case of "real" the opposite is not considered as good - thus a value statement.

I'm not offended. The topic is a good one to discuss. I also realize that sometimes language doesn't always work very well, particularly written language (moreso when the language you are using isn't your native). I am a little grumpy that the boiz didn't question the use of "real" until Ila. Not surprised mind you, just grumpy.

Yes, transsexual women surely are real women. But to mistake "real" for "cisgendered" is probably a mistake.

My limited experience tells me that the most happy transsexual women are the ones who can deal with their transsexuality - who can deal with being so much more than the rest of us!
