I’m hoping ila is enjoying his first “500.” Running the race in August is a bit unusual. Especially without fans. The Indy 500 traditionally is held in May on Memorial Day. Although this year it was postponed due to the Covid-19 situation.

Yesterday I sent him a PM with a little background on the Motor Speedway. As many of you know, I live in Zionsville which is located on the North side of Indianapolis. Our university used to have a “motorsports” program and is not too far from the track. I’ve met many of the drivers. Including Danica Patrick.

Her best finish in the “500” was third and she won the “Indy Japan 300” in 2008. She is doing the “color commentary” for today’s race.

No, they’re wrong. If you're "over 40" what you need is a “19 year old girlfriend” that likes to dress up as a Viking warrior queen.

I see that "Purdue Pete" left his helmet in the front straightaway before the "500" yesterday. That was a dumbfuck thing to do. Could've caused an accident.

Of course auto racing and football are two things that guys do to impress women and get laid.

That is Purdue's current president Mitch Daniels with the "Goldusters" dance team. He is clearly not practicing "social distancing." Of course I don't blame him. I wouldn't either.

Daniels was Indiana's Governor in the mid to late 2000's. Martin Jischke was President of Purdue when I was there. Showing my age...

And you can always get an "official" Purdue Pete Coronavirus mask.
