Since quite a few of my posts in this thread feature covers of beautiful women from “Film Fun” magazine, I decided to do some research on it before I have to start in again next week on my real job. They are very risqué. Especially for almost 100 years ago!
Not that I’m complaining. From MagazineArt.org: Quote:

My favorites above are the girl in the yellow swimsuit (from 1933) and the one next to her lying on the beach (from 1934).
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() This site is educational. So we know now that “the perfect ass” has existed for at least 85 years… ![]() (You learn something everyday. For example, it took me a while to “catch on” to the “double-entendre.” in the last one. “Petting” is an old-fashioned term for “making out” sometimes including everything all the way up to all-out fucking. Don’t know how I knew that… I think it was from watching re-runs of “Happy Days.” )Last edited by a9127; 01-03-2019 at 02:28 PM. |

Wow! "Film Fun" looks fun indeed! My favorite is the lady on the lower left- hot!
![]() My parents had an old hardback coffee table book called "Life Goes To The Movies" from Life Magazine. In it were some pictures I really loved of Julie Newmar as Stupefyin Jones from the movie "Lil Abner" ![]() ![]() ![]() There were also some of Shirley Maclaine that I really enjoyed

My parents had a similar book called something like "Life Goes to War." Lots of beauties in the style of pinups like the "Film Fun" covers. Many 40's actresses too. Quite a few adorned the noses of WWII bombers and fighter aircraft. The "Memphis Belle" was very tame. Others were quite risque. There are many collections out there. Worth checking out.

![]() I can't remember all the beautiful actresses in there but I do remember being struck by how gorgeous Elizabeth Taylor was as Cleopatra and would fantasize about being this magnificent queen's young boy-toy ![]() ![]()

Wow! She's pretty!
![]() ![]() ![]() You know, it seems I've always had a thing for queens.. "Marsha Queen of Diamonds"was perhaps the first lady to ever turn me on. And then there were other queens...like Beverly Sills ![]() ![]()

Aircraft nose art during WWII was quite risque. Even though both the USAAF and RAF issued directives against decorating aircraft they couldn't prevent it and finally decided it was good for morale.
![]() That is Betty Grable ("Million Dollar" legs ) gracing "Sentimental Journey" a Boeing B-17 "Flying Fortress," and of course the famous "Memphis Belle." The site said it was the restored original but there is also a "movie" version that makes the rounds. Of course our friends and allies in the RAF also got into the act, "Just Jane" is very sexy and nicely adorns this Avro "Lancaster." ![]() But perhaps the most elaborate and "X-Rated" art to adorn any aircraft was "The Dragon And His Tail" a Consolidated B-24 "Liberator" flown by the United States. It survived the war only to be destroyed for scrap. The artwork was restored on another "Liberator" of the same type many years later. I first saw a picture of it in one of my Dad's aviation magazines. It is, needless to say, quite popular over 70 years later at air shows. Wonder why?

Pretty cool!
![]() I love retro-glamour as you know, especially when it has a modern twist like these gorgeous ladies from "T-Girl Pin-Ups", Jonelle, Olivia, and Vaniity. ![]() ![]()

Wow! Great post Andy!
![]() I can't really remember any one movie that got me excited as a kid but I always loved seeing pretty women in costumes. It started with Beverly Sills ![]() ![]() ![]() "Batman" may have been the first time I got excited by seeing pretty ladies but I also remember seeing Beverly on "Carol Burnett" or the "Muppet Show" and really liking her. Later I found pictures of her in my parents record and magazine collection which quickly found their way under the mattress. Her Thais costume just blew my mind and I couldn't wait to get under the covers at night with such a temptress ![]() ![]() ![]() My dad found my stash and asked me if I liked seeing Beverly in her underwear. What could I say?

Glad you liked it. Thanks.
But I discovered that, well, maybe someone else has been reading my posts on TLB. ![]() Last night, after she got off her nursing shift, my wife and I were getting ready for bed and out of nowhere she mentions "Easter" coming up and the "Ten Commandments." We've never really talked about it before--at least not the way I did above... ![]() Maybe for Easter I can talk her into role playing the "Golden Calf Sacrifice" scene or something... ![]() (I was asked if either of the "male" bondage scenarios were hot? In this case no, I mean yeah, but not for me. They are too "masculine." Charlton Heston is also a pretty big guy--like 6'3" or 4", and the other actor is John Derek who was known for his beautiful and much younger wives. Usuala Andress, Linda Evans, and Bo Derek. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() He should be my role model. )

Of course "modern opera" is quite different.
These are scenes from a production of "Carmen." All I want to know is do they need a baritone? ![]() (That guy looks like he could use an understudy. All I'm doing is offering my services... )
