Yes I am. I guess OK... Seriously I don't know who he is. Can't be me. He's too short and clearly much older than I am... And I did look it up, they are attending the premiere of "Cluless: The Musical" which she is starring in. The last time I heard of Dove dating anyone she was going out with Thomas Doherty who played the son of Captain Hook in Descendants 2. Shows what I know...

The big guy on the right of the picture I just posted is Dan Payne who's bio lists him as 6'4". He was in the first Descendants. You might notice a slight size difference between him and the rest of the cast. The woman with Dove is Kristin Chenoweth who plays her mom, Maleficent. She is currently performing with the Tabernacle Choir for a Christmas special.

Speaking of "Dream Girls" I had posted this pic a few months ago in the Divas thread. I had no idea where it was taken. Super cute. Figured it couldn't be Tennessee since I didn't think it got as cold as Indiana. Turns out I was wrong. According to Reddit, they're at Sweet CeCe's in Franklin, Tennessee. Coulda sworn they were at Fundaes in Zionsville taking me out on a date.

My latest dream girl and future wife.

This time the fake ad is promoting a “balance transfer” to a credit card with a lower rate. I was hoping she could explain it to me. Maybe over dinner? At her place? My place? Anyplace... God, those eyes…

She’s so incredibly gorgeous I had to do a search. Can’t believe someone who looks like that isn’t a well known model or actress. All I could find on her was the “Adobe Stock Image" in the center. At least it's higher-res.

Often, these ads say "born before 1985." I just hope she was “born before 2001.”

CNN today features a 35 year old Japanese man who married "Hatsune Miku" an anime character in front of 39 people. Researchers say such events are indicative of broader technological trends and social phenomena.

Digital interactions are increasingly replacing face-to-face human connections worldwide. And as companies like Google, Amazon and Tencent invest billions in developing artificial intelligence, people are starting to relate to their smart devices like they do to humans.

Some say "please" and "thank you" to virtual assistants like Apple's Siri and Amazon's Alexa, or treat robot vacuum cleaners like pets. In Japan, where robots have long been seen as friendly companions rather than "Terminator-esque" destroyers, this shift in attitudes is well underway.

Kondo fell for Miku a decade ago when he heard the cyber songstress's music.

Now he owns a Gatebox device, which looks like a cross between a coffee maker and a bell jar, with a flickering, holographic Miku floating inside. Created in 2017 by Japanese startup Vinclu, the device allows anime fans to "live with" their favorite characters.

Gatebox's Miku is equipped with basic artificial intelligence. It can manage simple greetings and switch lights on and off, but is also subject to glitches and the occasional system meltdown. It has no sense of self and desires, and Kondo completely controls the romantic narrative.

"She really added color to my life," Kondo said. "When I talk with her I use different facial expressions and feel something. That's made a difference."

(Interesting... Yes, I agree, it seems a bit "strange." Personally I would prefer a human partner. But I'm not going to criticize him. In the article it states he was bullied by an older co-worker he attempted to date. He is clearly an intelligent and sensitive man. I hope he doesn't give up on trying to meet someone. This reminds me of the "trans real dolls" that were popular several years ago. Many men considered them "girlfriends" and even traveled or went on dates with them. Me, I could never get one to stay on my Harley... At over $7,000 USD that was a lot of money down the drain when she got run over by a semi one day on I-65. As our world increasingly becomes more fucked up and divided with every passing day, and with advances in technology, I believe we will see more "relationships" of this sort in the future. The only thing I want to know is have they made one of "Poison" yet? )

Spring Break. A lousy day here in Indiana. The only place on earth where you can have both a blizzard and a tornado in the same day.

So with no place to go, that leaves me with too much time on my hands…

Was reading more about this “man marries anime character” thing thinking about how silly it was, then suddenly I found one I liked…

Her name is Misa Amane and she was “born” in either 1984, 1986, or 1987 (depending on who you ask) so she would be the perfect age for me.

As you can see from the picture “Misa” does indeed appear “older” than the others and I think is sorta hot.

Still don’t think I’d marry a cartoon character under any circumstances (I’d never live it down with my friends, it would ruin my career, and my real wife would kill me… ).

But there’s always “cosplay.”
