You’re right though, most every one of you: it takes a lot of care, you need to start slowly and prepare adequately, use generously of a water based lube. You also need to be clean and absolutely have to find a way to relax appropriately. I have found that a good, very hot bath is excellent for that purpose, and long preliminaries including well given oral sex. You might also want to start preparing yourself on your own, with progressively bigger and bigger dildos, in order to accustom the anal sphincter to penetration. This being said, I’m still far from convinced it is something for everyone. There’s a matter of temperament first, of course, but there might just be some physical impediment for some people, an insufficiently supple anus, for instance.
