Jodie, whereas it isn't a good idea to use a burdizzo on oneself (what with the risk of death, infection, or other severe problems requiring hospitalization), some folks do have castration fantasies and/or body identity integrity disorder & would be just as desperate as many tgirls to rid their body of unwanted/"non-self" parts. Your post comes off as more than sobering- it is insulting. It is strange because your responses are often insightful about unique perspective and experiences, as well as offering support & opportunity for understanding.

Someone who could not get orchiectomy without either going through chemical anti-androgen treatment or living as a tgirl when he in fact does not identify as female faces a significantly different route than a tgirl. Both situations are difficult (& I acknowledge the tgirl's route is much harder in many ways), yet there are unique difficulties for one with BIID to remedy their situation. Self-surgery or related DIY approaches do get entertained as options when one cannot obtain legitimate medical authorization. The last thing a person needs who isn't allowed to address their sense of self is condescension.

The issues covered in your post are interesting but not related to the OP.
The email was also sent to one of the mods.
It is in that context, pertaining to facts to which you are not aware of.

trans people might object to a discussion about men castrating themselves
placed in an area specifically about trans-women, finding it to be a little insulting,
as we have totally different motivations drives and needs.

This site is 99% frequented by men, a majority of who have a sexual interest in trans women,
and 1% transwomen, who have:
1. An interest in interacting with those men and
2. Also some of us giving those men a greater understanding about
the reality of our lives and how it has no connection with the fantasy.
And hopefully, in some small way, help remove the hyper-sexualised false image which society often saddles us with.
Neither group is likely to have any interest in men who castrate themselves.

Men who for whatever reason, want to castrate themselves,
and men who are interested in men who castrate themselves,
are better off on a forum dedicated to such interests.
I'm sure such forums exist.
Though they may get a little pissy if I start posting threads asking about:
Face feminisation surgery, breast augmentation & altering passport gender indicators, though.
