I have a question that is somewhat related to this if anyone can help. I noticed than many transwomen I see on the net have very smell or male-looking areolae, which I guess is to be expected. However, a very select few have somewhat larger, womanly looking areolae that match the larger breasts. I obviously prefer seeing the latter, but it's fairly uncommon.

Do hormones tend to increase the size of areolae? I would assume that many of these women have taken hormones at least some time in the past, so I don't understand the discrepency. Are some women just impacted by hormones differently than others? Is it like with how implants look more natural on some women than in others?

I do think there are a decent number of girls in shemale porn who have never taken hormones, but of the ones who have everybody is affected differently. Those who grow decent-sized natural breasts usually have larger nipples, because the first part that develops is behind the nipple, so even if they still need implants, the breasts look a lot more natural.

Progesterone is a hormone that some TS people take and some don't, and its effects are widely varying. Some people's breasts really fill out. Some get no result. Some it is actually converted to testosterone and they have to stop. But in many cases being on progesterone for a year will significantly increase the size of the areolae and increase fatty tissue in the breasts. Being on estrogen alone often results in development of the mammary glands but not so much development of fatty tissue, so the breasts are more tubular.
