"There's nothing to worry about, lad," said the elderly chap siting next to him. "It's like the bombs during the war. You won't get hit unless the bottle's got your name on it."

"That's just what I'm afraid of," said the fan. "My name's Johnny Walker."

The last time the Leafs won a Stanley Cup, most Leafs fans were in diapers. Guess what? The next time the Leafs win a Stanley cup, those same fans will be in diapers.

Boston is playing in Montreal tonight. The face-off is just over a half hour away. What do you think, smc, will Boston take the lead again only to lose to a resurgent Montreal in the third period?

I am sorry to say that such a scenario sounds eminently plausible. Of course, the Habs might just decide not to toy with the Bruins tonight and crush them from the initial face-off.

It is a home game for Montreal and they do play quite well at home. I think that Montreal will come out and play hard right from the start. They no better than to give only a half-hearted effort at home.

I remember your post about that game. Sorry about the way it turned out. I'm glad that Montreal won, but I'm sorry that it was a friend's team that they beat.

Less than a minute left and Montreal just scored when Boston was on a powerplay. It's now 2 - 0 for Montreal and the first period just ended.

Thanks for the update, ila. It's bad enough that the Habs ruin my hockey-watching (at least so far) by scoring when the Bruins are a man up. Now you have to remind me of something I already know in the place I visit to escape my hockey malaise by changing my focus to some beautiful gurly cocks!
