I am also fairly new here(I joined the same month as you did, actually), but I found that there were a lot of great people here and I found that the more time I spent here, the more I wanted to talk with them.

I am sure that will be the case for you as well. This is a great site, with a great bunch of folks. Hopefully you'll find lots of interesting things to talk about.
