I agree with others that the problem is how some lines can easily blur. For example, I was tempted to put King Kong (original) on the list, but I actually consider that to be one of the greatest ADVENTURE movies ever made, which happens to have fantastic elements.

Hey! Its good to see Forbidden Planet listed. I still think that pioneering sci fi film is one of the best.
