We do it for the same reason that people get boob lifts, cover themselves with tattoos, color their hair, etc. - it makes us feel better about ourselves. There are several other threads in this forum that goes into individuals' reasons.

Hair color is temporary, tatoos can be removed, with difficulty, a boob job only change the size of the appendages. but removing your penis is a bit extreme, but still.

BUT, i did ask to state your size and functionality, to "see" if size and functionality, and also use frequency, as i ponder things further, would be factors in the decision, and if your boyfreind liked you with penis or not, and if you were planing to get the SRS.

It's part of the work to repair the damage caused by a traumatic mental illness and defect. I am a woman and my body should match that. Having a penis enrages me. I have done everything I can to disable and destroy it ranging from drinking Mountain Dew (a spemicide/sperm count reducer) to getting on hormones as quickly as possible to kill my testicles and stop the production of testosterone before my body is damaged any further. I can't wait until the day it is cut up and inverted. I couldn't care less about the pain, recovery and risks of surgery. This is what I am supposed to be and as a woman, I don't want to look down there and see the damn thing.

If you are transgender, there is nothing to remove or alter. This is how you are and how you have always been. There is no training or changes in personality or likes and dislikes, hobbies, emotions, etc. The only thing needing removal are the male organs.

This is because you are interested in transgender women purely for the fact that they have a penis at the moment. You like penises and therefore find it unnecessary. Some men even leave their transsexual girlfriends because of the SRS. Its a perverse fetish for most men and that's why chasers become so upset with women that decide to get SRS. For many transsexuals, it is very necessary. It completely finishes repair and they are then complete. The brain matches the body. The defect is fixed. They can finally express themself to the fullest with no limitations or restrictions.

To answer your other question... My penis when fully erect is 5 1/2 inches long. Since hormone therapy my sex drive has been eliminated and erections no longer occur. The severely annoying random hardons have ceased completey and it takes alot to get it to become hard which at this point, it doesn't become fully hard anymore. When erect, it can technically still be used but when it came to sex, I did not use it to top others. Also since starting hormones, my need or desire to have sex has been eliminated completely, which is why I stopped cam whoring, taking pics and making videos for a long period of time. My male sex drive is dead which makes me very happy which means I haven't had sex in almost a year. And of course my partners liked me having a penis. It is their fetish. It's a chick with a dick. They aren't happy in my decision to kill it but that's their problem. I am not altering my life for the wants of other people. I do plan on getting it removed and cannot wait to have it done. The reason for me trying to join shemale porn is so I can get access to quick cash so I can remove it as soon as possible, among other operations to fix my face, body hair, bone structures, possible breast augmentation, etc.

You are a little mistaken in a few points. There are actually many many many places that require a gender/sex marker. All legal documents, credit card applications, school applications, rental applications. Your driver's license, insurance forms, social security card, pass port.. just off the top of my head. Because you don't really have to think about it, the number of times that people subtly ask you what your crotch looks like is probably invisible to you. I didn't really notice until I tried to get all my stuff to match.

In most places your birth certificate can only be changed after SRS. Until the BC is changes all national information will reflect your birth assigned sex. This means every time I try to leave the country, I get outed as Trans - no question - plain as day. Getting a job with a state ID that reads Female, but social security that lists me as male gets a letter from the department of homeland security when I was looking for work. "Gender No-Match" letters are a huge pain for US TGs.

Violence against Trans women in increasing or being reported and tracked more. Not having SRS means that if you need emergency care, EMTs can decline to give you treatment and crack jokes about your genitalia (Tyra Hunter) and get a promotion within a couple years. It means if you are arrested, you are housed in with the male prison population - and we know what that means. It means any and all places that have shared changing/shower/swimming facilities feel justified in denying you membership on the off chance you may show some penis by accident. Women feel justified in making an issue as to where and when and how often you use the bathroom at work.

Aside from the emotional needs of some trans women to modify their bodies to align themselves physically with how they understand themselves to be, there are serious practical and safety reasons for SRS. The emotional reasons are, for me, the most compelling. However, most people who are not Trans can't understand the disconnect and the profound weirdness that we feel about our bodies. It is hard to explain, made even harder by the way our individual lives and coping mechanisms complicate an already complex relationship.

If society wasn't so hung up on rewarding a strictly binary m/f sex assignment, there would probably be some trans women who wouldn't have SRS. However, I don't think the numbers would be that much reduced.

To Alanamead, women who get breast implants do it to recapture their youth and be more attractive to their mates, tattos are acquired as an act of defiance or acceptance, you get some to piss off your parente or because your freinds are getting some, hair color is for change or to look like a woman they admire and find attractive.

These are the why people GENERALLY do the things that you mentionned, if you get the SRS because you think it would make you feel better about yourself, your problem is not your penis as such, you need to find the real problem solve it and then decide if you want or need to get the SRS, if you are to do it do it for the right reason iof you don't you may regret it later.

When i wrote that i was thinking more in the lines of with your freinds, liesurely activities, i hadn't considered that angle and you're right it would be a real pain it the a** to go through that, thanks for enlightening me, that IS why i started the thread.

Violence, i know that there are some very small minded people out there that have more balls than brains, and not that much in way of balls, but i haven't heard of any tg's getting beatup on the news, then again they might not see it as news worthy, and there is gay bashing and it is not reported on the news either, do you have any official statistics? Not that i don't believe you but i'm not totally convinced it is on the rise.

But i was also asking about penis size and functionality, as a corolation with size and functionality and the desire for the SRS.

And thank you to all that ansewered this thread so far and i think i have a BETTER understanding of the whole situation.
