Considering that I face the reality of people challenging the validity of my life every day, yeah I'm going to be upset. Challenges that can affect my employment, access to social services, treatment by law enforcement, how murders of women like me get tried and sentenced - it IS offensive.

You do know what the opposite of "real" is? Does it apply to people like me?
