I would say it's a fetish type deal just like some like long hair and others short hair and some people like a little weight and others waifish type body styles.

I mean I wouldn't but might for the right guy but I would say that he has to take total care of me until it grows out and be prepared to pay one hellacious price for an expensive wig. I have short hair now and it almost killed me when I got it cut. I am used to it but shaving my head or buzzing it would be almost a BDSM punishment because I would cry and bawl. But if he takes care of me until it grows back enough to be stylish again then I would consider it. And it damn well better turn him on afterward.

Some cis women actually do it to liberate themselves from beauty standards so some may do it just for the hell of it. Some may do it for porn reasons and others for cancer causes. When it comes to trans women then hair is a part of the whole gender identity thing. So it is rare.
